I cannot wait to read timvp's thoughts on this one. What a game!
Seriously... I really enjoyed that one even though we lost. We'll be fine!

manu leaving jackson so wide open that he was allowed to smoke an entire blunt before taking the shot is what caused us to lose

GS has got to be one of the best 4th quarter teams in the league. I have never seen a team produce so many 4th quarter comeback wins in my life. If they are playing at home and the game is even reasonably close you can almost guarantee a Warrior victory. It's insane.

They seem to have a knack for hitting those timely 3pt shots.
And the home court fans are loud and proud! GS 6th man is their fans.

It doesn't help when you leave them wide open, again and again, and again.

I'm sick of yelling at the Spurs. For the past month I've been yelling at them for leaving three point shooters open. Pop needs to freaking tell them to start defending the perimeter. I was pissed after the Denver game and am pissed tonight.

    Intense game.

And he may have made some mistakes but I thought Duncan was incredible.
    32 points (9-19)
    13 boards, 4 offensive
    3 assists
only 1 turnover (nice, his TO's have been horrible lately)
    and...14-16 at the line

He continues to amaze me, continues to be a joy for me to watch.
Bring on the soft talk, bring on whatever you want.

He was great tonight and he will bring his team to the repeat.

    Correct except it was 2004.

Yes that's what I meant Ploto thanks for correcting me.

    1 Sjax
    2 Nocioni
    3 Barry

I have no idea why the Spurs went after Barry as their number one choice. I didn't agree with it then and still don't agree with it now. The funny thing is Nocioni would have been cheaper than Barry.

I agree... assuming he remains healthy he will be a beast in the playoffs once again for us. This is the year of the repeat!

I'm not worried about this lost. They played the Warriors tough. Could have won. Oh well. The D is far from perfect, but considering that this was the first game since November in which the big three played the entire game, no worries. They are still finding their way back into their swagger, and the defense will undoubtedly come around.

I wonder if Dirk could play like that against the Warriors? I think that is what Barkley was talking about in the playoffs last year

I thought Duncan played pretty darn good tonight even with some questionable calls. TD's D could have been better though, but maybe that knock on the side of the knee from last night was still a little sore tonight.

WHY ARE YOU LEAVING SJAX :
because Teddy Pendergrass was killing us and Manu was sagging. SJAX was off up until that point. Nevertheless, for the Spurs to be great they need their Defensive stopper to play great.

    And we never won again....

I'm not saying Barry hasn't contributed to the Champiionships cause he has, but what I am saying is would Nocioni or Sjax have contributed more? would they be more valuable to us right now? Maybe Pop found a leftover blunt from when Sjax was still here and thought Barry was the white Stephen Jackson.

They offered SJax money as a starting point of negotiations. His agent chose not to negotiate because he (Fegan) was greedy. That's the beginning and end of why SJax isn't here.

I'm just not terribly interested in rehashing this over and over again whenever a former Spur has a good game.

    Jack is gone.

    He's never coming back.

Nocioni? He wasn't ever going to be a spur...

Who says? I'm just saying that after the 2004 Olympics the Spurs could have went after him. Maybe the Spurs were interested? The just might not have wanted to offer him the cash with out seeing him play in the NBA. Chicago offered him the best deal, i'm sure Nocioni would have chosen the Spurs if they offered him the exact same deal 3m per year.
