such a good guard. too bad he's so injury prone.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Kings guard Bobby Jackson is expected to miss the rest of the regular season after undergoing surgery Monday to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist.
Two pins were placed in Jackson's bone to stabilize the ligament, which was injured early in the season. He hasn't played since aggravating the injury last month during a game against Washington.
Jackson's wrist will be in a cast for eight weeks, followed by eight weeks of gradual rehabilitation, the team said in a statement. According to that schedule, Jackson wouldn't be able to return before April 23.
Jackson, the Kings' top reserve and the NBA's best sixth man in 2003, averaged 12.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 23 games this season -- but this is his third straight campaign with a major injury.
He missed 21 games with a broken left hand during the 2002-03 season, then missed 28 of the Kings' final 29 regular-season games and last season's playoffs with a strained abdominal muscle.

They won't miss him. This Martin kid is going to be a superstar, now he will get the minutes he needs. He was awesome in college at Western Carolina, and he will be awesome in the NBA.
Martin ain't going to be half of Beno. Mark it down.

Ok, I am writing it down in my daybook....now what?
BTW, why are so many of you people like a bunch of insecure females? Somebody says something nice about another team or player and you all say..."well, they are not as good as so and so is on the Spurs, or they are not the Spurs, etc etc."
I swear it is just like what women say when you compliment another woman..."so I am not beautiful too, or I am not as good at doing this or that? " It is too funny, really.
Martin is good, but he wont give the Kings what Bobby Jackson gave.
Bobby Jackson IMO was the most underrated player in the NBA. Good defender, AMAZING shooter, and a great playmaker.
IMO, better than Mike Bibby.
If Bobby Jackson got traded to a Cleveland, where him and Lebron James could team up, you watch him become a superstar.
Next to Lebron hed be amazing.
hed be a playmaking guard next to another playmaking guard, and hed show of his long range shot on the kickouts from Bron Bron and Z.
Im tellin ya, Bobby Jackson, if healthy on the Cavaliers, would send them to the finals.
Iverson was banged up this past year bc of his style of play. Same with Bobby. Guys that go all out, aren't afraid of anyone are going to get banged up more.
Bobby reminds me somewhat of Vinnie Johnson, except a better playmaker.
Both guys, if they are hot, it doesn't matter what the other nine guys on the floor are doing.
Good player, but not dependable.
I really wouldn't want him on my team.
Every year the Kings depend on him after he plays good ball for a while, and just about every year they miss him when he misses significant time.
He's talented, but being a good basketball player is also about staying healthy.
I sure hope you're talking about sports.
there goes my prediction for 6th man of the year for that free jersey
