ESPN last night reported it was 7 years/$105 million.

the mets would have to make a considerably better offer for beltran to go there because of the taxes.

They should definately sign Magglio Ordonez, he is the best outfielder available. He is a very good player.

definitely get Ordonez. I think hes one of the most underrated baseball players out there. He is a Beltran type player in that he is a 5-tool player.
except that Maggalio is also represented by Boras.
but he won't get near the same money as Beltran

BTW, dont feel bad, the Cubs have taken big steps backwards too loosing Clement and Grudzelanek, and supposedly trading Sosa.
Burnett is said to be on the block, perhaps they might trade for him. If they get in the Ordonez race and get him, that could convince Clemens to return.
