See if this works ... instead of going through the 'display properties' to change your background, try right clicking on an image that you want to use, and selecting 'set as desktop background'.
Alright I'm not a complete idiot, I know how to change it, but my roommate did something and it appears that my wallpaper is locked. When I go to properties and desktop all the options are grayed out (I can't choose any of them) ((see picture below)) No matter what I do I can't get it to change, does anyone know of anything like this? It's stuck with the OSU 2002 National Championship logo...which is a little out dated

I ran Adaware and it worked, thanks
You mean you didn't have any anti-spyware running? That's like not changing the oil in your car.
Seriously, people. A computer is not a self-automated machine.
I don't use Spyware programs. I just download all the updates and nothing happens to me. Plus I don't really go on sites that give you Spyware, plus my browser has a Phishing filter and tells me which site is dangerous. I once got a trojan, but that I did on accident with a infected Flash drive. Updates are the way to go.
I use my laptop mostly since I moved to Ohio. The computer I was talking about was a comp I left at my place in Chicago for my roommate to use. That is why it's all ed up. He didn't run any type of anti virus or spy ware protector. I just got around to cleaning that thing up
