thats the reason for the big deficit.

That and playing defense like the Denver Nuggets.

Suns are shooting below 40 %, so I wouldn't say it is the defense except in that rebounding is the end of your defense.

So, if you don't get the defensive board, then you haven't finished your defensive possession.

Also, turnovers are key. If you turn the ball over, your defense is going to be poorly positioned to get a stop.


It appears like it is more a focus, aggression, desire issue .

Uhh the Spurs have attacked the paint numerous times. They got hacked and there was no call. True, they lack intensity but they haven't been shy about attacking the rim. The refs just aren't calling anything.

There is a difference between going strong to the rack and dribbling in and throwing up the weak that the Spurs were throwing up in the first quarter.
