It's a good thing Bowen is stepping up because Duncan is ing ice cold. He really needs to shape up in time for the 2nd half. However, I expect the Spurs to start their typical 3rd quarter stifle-defense.

Also, Kurt Thomas is doing VERY well against West. West has yet to score on Thomas. They need to keep Thomas in the game and Thomas needs to stay out of foul trouble.

I really think Pop did it so they could get the last shot. NO was making a comeback and Pop didn;t want them hitting a buzzer beater to carry momentum into the 2nd half. Good strategy I think.
