Hey, when all the NBA does is market Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, and the other selfish players overseas, what do you expect people in other countries to think of American players?

Oh, so the NBA's marketing program is an excuse for bigotry? Great logic there.

The NBA markets players that are popular, and many of those players are just as popular over there...as is the music of the hip hop generation...don't blame the NBA for that...

And furthermore, what exactly is so seflish about AI? The fact that he actually wanted to play for team USA?

And don't bring up Kobe either...True, Kobe is arrogant...but he grew up in Europe.

    I agree with cmurek.

The NBA game is normally a slower paced game than an international game, and with less passion....
Bull on the subject of passion...

And guess what? This game would be played using the NBA game...not the international game.

BUT last night, that was crazy, that was 100% fast break action, I loved it, that was an international game.
It was? I don't see too many Amare's in the international game...or even Manu's for that matter...

Furthermore, when was the last time that style of ball won an NBA championship?

It was about 20 years ago and the only reason it won then was because the team that did it had a freak 6'9 260lb Point Guard who also just happened to be the most unstoppable post up PG in history....not to mention Kareem.

For a better example of this...that was a Suns style game, a Mavericks style game...those teams not only are they NBA teams, not international teams, but they also haven't won yet...

That style of ball was popular in the USA 35 years ago, don't try and act like you guys just invented it.

How in the can you guys try and claim NBA ball is selfish when you sit here and root for a team that disproves that very fact...

    The Piston's weren't selfish either.

    You're a bigot...

If you had been born in America you'd have been the type of American that was fighting against civil rights and abolishing slavery...because "they" are inferior.

For those of you who still don't get it...

Tim Duncan: fouls out in 5 minutes in international games.
Tim Duncan: Wins MVP awards and NBA les in NBA games.

This would be an NBA game...

And BTW, if Duncan is an international player it sure is ironic, because he hates the international rules and FIBA.

I think this would be a great format for the NBA ASG. The marketing would be great - especially with the NBA's push for worldwide exposure. I'm going off without looking too much, so if I'm wrong on countries - forgive me. I'm going off the All-Star ballots here, but suggest others for sure.
