Final Spurs Mock Draft for the 2024 NBA Draft
With the 2024 NBA Draft now about an hour away, it’s time to release the final Spurs mock draft. San Antonio has the No. 4 and No. 8 picks in the first round and, in the second round, they have picks at No. 35 and No. 48.
1. Atlanta Hawks – Zaccharie Risacher
The rumors of the Hawks taking Clingan at No. 1 have died down. Sarr doesn’t want to go to Atlanta so that leaves Risacher going to the Hawks.
2. Washington Wizards – Alexandre Sarr
Sarr really wants to be a Wizard. Strange but apparently true.
3. Houston Rockets – Donovan Clingan
I’m leaning toward Clingan going No. 3. I think either the Rockets trade the pick to a center-starved team or Houston could just take the tall defensive specialist.
4. San Antonio Spurs – Reed Sheppard
If Risacher, Sarr and Clingan go in the top three, I see Sheppard as the most likely option for the Spurs. Castle may also be in the mix. Longer shots include Williams, Buzelis and even Salaun.
5. Detroit Pistons – Matas Buzelis
Buzelis has been linked to the Pistons since the lottery.
6. Charlotte Hornets – Stephon Castle
Castle fits really well on Charlotte’s roster, especially if he isn’t married to the idea of being a point guard.
7. Portland Trail Blazers – Tidjane Salaun
Blazers take a home run swing with Salaun.
8. San Antonio Spurs – Cody Williams
Salaun may be the preference but with him gone, I’ll give the Spurs Williams. Other possibilities include Carter and Knecht. Castle, if he falls, could go here. Dillingham is the darkhorse.
9. Memphis Grizzlies – Zach Edey
Edey has a chance to go higher than expected.
10. Utah Jazz – Dalton Knecht
The Jazz love shooters.
11. Chicago Bulls – Devin Carter
The Bulls get a Caruso replacement.
12. Oklahoma City Thunder – Bub Carrington
The Thunder go star-hunting with Carrington.
13. Sacramento Kings – Terrence Shannon Jr.
The desperate Kings look for someone who can help their team take the next step.
14. Portland Trail Blazers – Tristan da Silva
The Blazers go for the adult in the room.
15. Miami Heat – Rob Dillingham
Dillingham goes to a great situation for him.
16. Philadelphia 76ers – Jared McCain
The Sixers get a shooter.
17. Los Angeles Lakers – Yves Missi
The Lakers go for the shot-blocking center.
18. Orlando Magic – Nikola Topic
Topic’s dad works for the Magic. His slide stops here.
19. Toronto Raptors – Kyshawn George
George is long and can shoot, and thus fits in Toronto.
20. Cleveland Cavaliers – Ron Holland
Holland goes lower than expected but the Cavs could use him right away.
21. New Orleans Pelicans – Kyle Filipowski
The Pelicans add a talented big to go with Zion.
22. Phoenix Suns – Tyler Kolek
The Suns get their true point guard.
23. Milwaukee Bucks – Isaiah Collier
The Bucks can use Collier’s one-on-one scoring ability.
24. New York Knicks – Ja’Kobe Walter
Walter could be a strong defender sooner than later.
25. New York Knicks – DaRon Holmes
The Knicks need more big man depth.
26. Washington Wizards – Johnny Furphy
The Wizards add to their wings collection.
27. Minnesota Timberwolves – Jaylon Tyson
The Wolves see Tyson as a possible playoff piece.
28. Denver Nuggets – Baylor Scheierman
The Nuggets could bank on Scheierman helping right away.
29. Utah Jazz – Cam Christie
The Jazz get even more shooting.
30. Boston Celtics – Kel’el Ware
The Celtics get a big who may be able to shoot from deep.
31. Toronto Raptors – Bobi Klintman
32. Utah Jazz – Jaylen Wells
33. Milwaukee Bucks – AJ Johnson
34. Portland Trail Blazers – Ryan Dunn
35. San Antonio Spurs – Pacome DadietÂ
The Spurs get a Frenchman in the second round. He’s tall and shoots it straight.
36. Indiana Pacers – Tyler Smith
37. Minnesota Timberwolves – Cam Spencer
38. New York Knicks – Jonathan Mogbo
39. Memphis Grizzlies – Adem Bona
40. Portland Trail Blazers – Keshad Johnson
41. Philadelphia 76ers – Pelle Larsson
42. Charlotte Hornets – Ajay Mitchell
43. Miami Heat – Oso Ighodaro
44. Houston Rockets – Jamal Shead
45. Sacramento Kings – Kevin McCullar
46. Los Angeles Clippers – Justin Edwards
47. Orlando Magic – Melvin Ajinca
48. San Antonio Spurs – Ulrich Chomche
The Austin Spurs get an intriguing yet extremely raw prospect from the NBA Academy Africa.
49. Indiana Pacers – Dillon Jones
50. Indiana Pacers – Enrique Freeman
51. Washington Wizards – Juan Nunez
52. Golden State Warriors – Antonio Reeves
53. Detroit Pistons – Nikola Djurisic
54. Boston Celtics – PJ Hall
55. Los Angeles Lakers – Bronny James
56. Denver Nuggets – Trey Alexander
57. Memphis Grizzlies – Harrison Ingram
58. Dallas Mavericks – Jalen Bridges
