This version of Jokic is legitimately the greatest offensive big man ever, perhaps offensive player period. Scores on all three levels efficiently. Has the best touch I've ever seen from any big guy. Can use low post moves, pump fakes, footwork. Can back down, lower his shoulder, and bully ball. Can shoot pull ups, runners, variety of hook shots, fadeaways. Will keep you honest with an occasional three. And with all that scoring ability, if the defense collapses, he is not just a willing passer but one of the best and most creative passers ever as well.
That doesn't even touch on his ability as a screen setter and offensive rebounder.
Now he won't always play great. His shooting might be off from time to time. Or he might turn it over too much sometimes. But generally speaking, it's the most complete offensive arsenal a basketball player can have, regardless of position.
Lets see this against equally good big men and frontlines.
When Bob Parish, McHale and Billy Walton were going up against Mo Malone, Olajuwan and Ralph Sampson that was some Big Man vs Big Man basketball.
Today we have yet to have the timing of a Prime Greek Freak vs Prime (now) Joker.
So I'm not sold on the All Time yet with the defenses he is facing.
Jokic is the GOAT offensive player
Wolves have the best defense in the NBA and the (somewhat debatable) DPOY, they threw everything at him yesterday and he dismantled them with elite efficiency
Gobert is a great defensive big man and today's team defenses are better, Wolves threw everyrhing at him and he killed them
Jokic would have no problem in the good ol' days in single coverage
He can score inside, has good handles and would force them out with his 3 point shooting
Not sure how he would fare defensively though
Could be in foul trouble, which would keep him off the court
eh on the block and more specifically near the rim yes. Not midrange and out.
Ya Fathead is really providing some pressure from the F spot.
By the way, Pacers are slow lazy and stupid. The East is just plain bad.
Celtics in the conference finals. Cavs had no shot without Mitc .
Luka playing well and controlled 1st qtr and early 2nd qtr.
Looks like a Celtics-Nuggets finals. Should be a good series.
scan!!!
sweetheart!!!!!!
pumpkinpuss!!!!!!!!!
We were friends once-upon-a-time, weren't we, old horse?
Even the "good" teams in the east are hard to watch.
THJ is the Mavs Malaki Branham
Dallas going to around and give this game away too. They play well then go into this regular season relax mode while the opponent starts to play desperate. When are teams going to realize a 15pt lead is nothing in today's game?
Holy Derrick Jones rejecting Holmgren's three
Been a while Cul. Its been over 6 - 7 years I guess. The trolling is now nonexistent. In general, not just you
ROFL SGA getting rejected by Doncic of all people
Series ends Friday. Hopefully Denver closes out tomorrow so both teams can get some rest.
Game 6 is Saturday. OKC ed up bad getting into a 3-2 hole going on the road with two days off for Doncic to rest.
will it finally put to bed the laughable critics about his D?
