Really??!!
This after you went through all the trouble of telling everyone that Brad Johnson sucks and won't take the Vikings anywhere.
Anyways, my picks:
1) Vikings- Not because I'm a homer, but because the pieces are in place for them to be an effective short yardage team offensively. The O-Line is arguably top 5 in NFL and Tony Richardson fortifies it with his great blocking skills at FB. The defense is much stronger than in the past. They're building the team to be successful long-term, but I don't see why they can't do it this year.
2) Bears- They won't sneak up on people this year, but the offense will be better and the defense will tail off a little. Oh yeah, Brian Griese will be the starting QB by week 4 if not sooner.
3) Lions- The addition of Mike Martz as OC and Jon Kitna at QB will greatly improve the offense, but the defense is inconsistent and it is, afterall, the Lions we're talking about here.
4) Packers- Goes to show what an attention Brett Favre is by threatening retirement if the Pack didn't make any off-season moves to better the team. Guess what, they didn't and Favre is back anyway. Now comes word that he won't make a decision about next season until 2006 is in the books. Can't get enough attention, eh Brett?
