Those were seasonal celebrations of other origin before Christianity co-opted them. No reason not to celebrate the season atheist style.

I don't have to believe in God to take vacation days mandated at work. Nor do I need a belief in God to give gifts or take my kids and grandkids Easter egg hunting.
