You're saying they have milked Kepler or they have milked Maxwell? Because I think they're going to be on Maxwell until 2016 or so.
I bet most of next year's cards are just overclocked rebrands of the 970 and 980 like Nvidia did with the 770 and AMD did with the entire R9 200 series other than 290/290x. If you already have a badass card you should just wait for the R9 390x in February. Even if you don't want to buy AMD, that'll probably force Nvidia to release GM200 and drop prices on the 980 to something sane. I can't really see the 970 dropping in price any time soon though.
I'm pretty happy with the 970 though. Plays most games on 1920x1080 at 60FPS even with lots of anti-aliasing on.

The R9 290 is a great deal for a GPU right now; you can find aftermarket ones (reference is horrible) as low as $225 in the US. But their CPUs are dog .
The 7950 is a great deal for the money too right now, it's a beast mode GPU and it's only about $90.
Come on son, u should never buy graphics card on the launch , also why play Ubisoft Games on a PC if u are willing to spend that much money...
Where are you finding that for $90? The cheapest one I found on pcpartpicker was $229.
This is the best deal I have seen: R9 290 for $225 after rebate

some through other sellers on amazon for round 150

$115 for an overclocked version buy it now. You can buy it cheaper if you bid on one.
I'd rather buy a brand new R9 270 for $130 or so and then overclock it to R9 270x level.
Oops, forgot the 7950 was a 3GB card and not a 2GB one.
so bb, u sellin or giving away the ans?
Nah man, they're going in my HTPC with my i7-3960x.
wtf do u need ans for a htpc
how about any used goods u dont need?
i just rip out a external hdd seagate 4tb for internal use...it was still brand new in a box, one of those cloud storage devices....needed the space for me prawns
My dual an Z's have water blocks on them so they're quiet, which makes them perfect for an HTPC.
you're probably gonna have to borrow the blue text from upstairs.
Dude, I can store entire 1080p movies in VRAM though.
I heard the Nintendo 64 emu is kinda ty on those...
so did u OC t he ans? how about the cpu? what clock speeds did you manage to get?
Ran that at stock son.
then whats the point of the water block if u aint oc...
Silence
next time you wanna give away $6k of your money, send it my way. imo.
