Free agent forward Julian Champagnie is finalizing a new deal with the San Antonio Spurs, sources tell ESPN.

McBuckets replacement tbh when he gets traded in the deadline. Champagnie was a pleasant surprise with his rebounding and defense. I thought at first he was just a volume shooter.

Feels like there's a shoe waiting to drop...we've still got alit of money left that we need to spend. I'm guessing we have more left than anyone right now. So is it absorbing Lowry? Offer sheet to Brook, AR, or DR?

Wemby strikes me as the kind of talent, prospect and cornerstone that wants no part of tanking. Spurs will clearly see that.

Additionally there aren’t pressing needs for a transcending number 1 pick that we should tank for and we have enough draft capital that we could buy up into a draft if we absolutely had to have someone we highly coveted.

I don’t see any reason to tank.
Don’t call it tanking. It’s just that they like what they have, they want to see what they have, they want to find out what works, they’re going to be patient, and they want to avoid big, costly mistakes.
And so they’re running it back with basically the same roster.
So maybe it’s not a tank, but it’s also clearly not placing a priority on being compe ive right away. It’s going to be sort of like a yearlong training camp to see which young players are going to stick long-term.

I mean, it’s so obvious. Unless a fabulous deal falls in their lap, they’re going to build through the drafts in ‘24 and ‘25.

I feel like we’re in on Reaves and taking time to make our move. We need to spend at least another $20mill or so right?

My bet still on waiting on the big whales getting moved around and helping grease the wheels.

But with Grant staying in Portland, that seems to cement Lillard staying (for some reason).

Harden still the huge question mark.

I totally forgot about Harden.... has he become forgettable? Or maybe I'm still punch drunk from laughing at the Sprockets and FVF... lol

Dennis Schroeder isn't really that bad, imo. In the right situations he can be pretty good, and TOR seems to be the right set-up.

Brook would be a great get for any team.

His defensive metrics last season were off the charts (DFG% at rim, away from the rim etc. all elite).

Wonder what happens with Sengun if they sign Brook. Bring him off the bench I guess.

It's gotta be Brook or Brooks...not enough room for both unless they trade a young player away..

Yuck. Raptors suddenly feel rudderless. Not sure what Masai and their FO’s goal is other than to win enough games to give us their FRP next season .

You don’t have access to their financials. You have access to memes and right wing propaganda and that’s what you feast on.

You don’t even know what woke means. You just spit slogans.

The day we see a thread where “we lost ducks” this place will be better for it.

People pointing out Masai lost FVV, Gasol, Ibaka, Kawhi, etc., for nothing.

Perspective on how Spurs managed to get a second and a first for DeRozan, who was a free agent.
