Man, didn't realize this game would rape the cpu so much. I think we can officially proclaim 4C/8T cpus dead for gaming.
RIP Quadcores

It actually runs pretty good on BC, and it loads fast... but yeah, missing a lot of quality, tbh

Well that's an insane run then.
Well, the Kentsfield 4C/4T quadcores I was referring to were $1000 when they came out in 2006 and they were pretty slow by around 2013-14 or so. But even the top 4C/8T quadcores of today like the Ryzen 3 3300 can't handle Cyberpunk at 60 fps.
Probably the longest run good gaming cpu of all time was the i7-2600k that came out in January 2011 and was basically good until now tem years later.
I went from a i5 Ivy Bridge to a pretty monster i9 3-4 years ago, tbh... so it's been a while since I've been spoiled.
Honestly, considering CPUs used to last for 2 years or so, quad cores had a good run...
Lol this game doesnt sound good enough to be remembered 5 years from now. Settle down ma nig
CDPR Should hand these out for free for poorstation owners, tbh.
This is beyond shameful. Even then I "might" play it.
enjoying it so far but already have experienced a whole host of graphical bugs and issues in only 3 hours of gameplay
I think it's reasonable to use this as a bellweather for next gen gaming and with the consoles now sporting pretty strong Ryzen 7 3700 level 8C/16T cpus I feared 4C/8T was done for in running games at 60 fps the same way 4C/4T was a year or two ago. This is the first truly modern next gen game and not just a game written for the last gen consoles with better textures slapped on it for PC / next gen consoles.
Oh well, time to join the 30 fps peasant race until I decide to do a cpu upgrade. At least I'm not running this at 15 fps like PS4.
How is the performance? Like what 40-45 fps when driving and walking in populated areas of the city if you're playing at high?
Just updated to 1.04... looks like the update just came out
Does that update put textures on the polygons on PS4?
no... mostly quests updates... I'm playing on PS5 though, in BC mode, and it's not too bad...
The first patch is for game stability. It doesn't really fix the main issues the game is having right now.
Does it actually run 60 fps or it a jump around sometimes 40 fps sometimes 60 fps like for instance unlocked framerate modes usually were on PS4 Pro? I would think it has the cpu and gpu to be pretty steady 60 fps, especially with how cut down the game looks to be on console, but still wondering. Doubt I'll find a PS5 in stock any time in the next 4 months or so, so will prob just play it at 30 fps on PC after RDR2.
just saw that, bout to check it out
Yup, spot on pretty much. but i haven't done too much exploring so i havent gotten to any real dense areas yet. but i'll get plenty of time in this weekend to find out
This area is supposed to be about the hardest to run:
Feels pretty smooth here, but I haven't gotten in any major firefights yet
Game looks pretty decent on PS5 and Series X.
in glitches man. got to a point where the game wouldnt progress because it wouldnt let me out of a helicopter until i killed all enemies, which i did, so i just kept circling around with nothing happening.
