There is a constant poison with injuries. There really isn't anything that can be said how ridiculous these injuries are piling up.

Yeah, the linebacker corp is trash. Lawrence, Spencer, and Lee all being out, what do you expect. The Cowboys need to really take a look at their training staff (leading the NFL in hamstring injuries in 2013, FTW), and the durability of some of these potential draft picks. We also need to avoid drafting players with obvious intelligence issues ( Claiborne). The Spurs formula of drafting/signing intelligent players who fit a system first is a strategy that will carry over no matter the sport.

The O-Line will be much improved. Next year the Cowboys need to start working on the D-Line with the first pick. As long as Jerry's potential merchandise seller picks are held in check by members of the front office who aren't senile, the Cowboys should expect to be competetive in a few years of solid drafting.

It's kind of weird though that most, if not all, of the injuries happen on the defensive side of the ball. They're the ones that cannot stay healthy for whatever reason. We can blame the training staff, but if it is we'd see a lot more injuries on the offensive side as well.

what is it with the cowboys' infatuation with project players? namely slow, white, injury prone safeties.

They should follow the Parcells model and draft a load players with size and stay away from the projects. Maybe we can get some durability out of someone for a change. As for the project drafting, BW Webb is another instance of this, he won't amount to when it's said and done. His job is on the line against Patmon and Mitc at the moment. Cowboys love doing this .

I called that .. this is why the Cowboys are stuck at .500. They waste 7/9 picks per year whereas a Seattle or a New England finds the best corner in the league in the 6th round.. smh.

Look at the failed pick of Anthony Hitchens.. This ing moron on day one comes in and declares "he is not ready to play" at this level. Typical beta response, and has failure in his DNA. Get some ing balls and jump at the chance to play substantial time as a rookie. They draft injury prone weaklings and pussies, that's the Jones way.

Parcells literally failed once during his three years of drafting. Bobby Carpenter. Look at the turnaround he (Parcells) drove. Spencer was once on the bubble as his draft pick, but he has turned things around nicely, albeit with the injury problems.

Cowboys stockpile 7 (iirc) 7th round picks, and instead of using them wisely trying to scrape up the last of the remaining talent, they just use the "disposable draft pick" method and draft a bunch of expecting to polish them into diamonds. The Cowboys have improved over the past two years with their number 1 picks, but then themselves out of the remaining rounds. Gavin Escobar in the 2nd round? James Hanna is better than him and will be the #2 this year.

Well, at least he seems to have beat out Heath to start, but that's not saying a whole lot. Carpenter was a disappointment, but he was at least a competent special teams player

Being competent on special teams is actually a slap in the face when you were drafted #1 IMO.
