I did read it. If he knew he worked at an ideological echo chamber, it was a dumb thing to do. And what happened to him ultimately proved his point.

He worked at a place of business where bad PR can have serious consequences, both for the work environment (particularly with their current issues with pay differentials) and for shareholders.

Anyway, more to your original point, do you think he was only fired because he was a straight white male? Like, a minority or a gay man could have published that memo and been fine?
