One of my favorite people. RIP
Came across his book a few weeks ago. My next read.
I think it was on The Tonight Show where he tore into some Hendrix, the guy was amazing. Always smiling.

i didn't even know he was still alive.
brb starting a gofundme for his family
Man, how I hate those.
I'm sick of hearing a "gofund me" page has been set up
He was playing The Grand Ole Opry at 17.
Real curious who his influenses were, will soon find out when I start with his book.
Have never heard him on the mandolin, and he plays that too.
The first basemen for the Giants?
No you're thinking of the tight end that made "the catch" vs the Cowboys
WR Dwight Clark.
i think it's the guy who made this candy bar:
Or TE Dwight Clark
I concur, not a big deal but the Associated Press/USA today talked Clark in as a TE.
"SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers will honor former tight end Dwight Clark with a season-long celebration of his life that will include unveiling a statue of "The Catch."....."

You learned a little something about NFL football history today.
No not really. There is no Niner fan who would be talking Clark as a TE.
This is true,

Take a look back through the career of former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Dwight Clark.
As is this....
By Richard Goldstein
Dwight Clark, the wide receiver whose spectacular last-minute leaping touchdown reception, known as “The Catch,” propelled the San Francisco 49ers toward the first N.F.L. championship in their history and ushered in their dominance of the league through the 1980s, died on Monday in Whitefish, Mont. He was 61.
Everybody considers Dwight Clark a WR. His two pro bowls....WR.

Blake, Dwight Clark was a WR, ok? AP was wrong. Every football card has...WR. He was in the pro bowl as a WR. He was drafted as a WR.
Niner fan here guy, trust me the guy was never a TE. YES....he has lined up there, but he is a WR, ok?

Avante thinks he's smarter than the AP.
Lol.
Dude, I have seen every single game Dwight Clark played as a Niner (we got the Niners here in central Cali) he is not a TE, ok? Why fight this guy, just accept the fact you know nothing about it other than what ya read which was wrong.
Blake, I've been a Niner fan since around 1958, I know my team, ok? Clark was a WR who sometimes played tight, that doesn't make him a TE.
We always read how Jim Brown was the best RB ever, right? Actually he was a FB. See how it goes?
Clark played in two pro bowls, not at TE....ok?
My God guy, can't you ever....ok man my bad?

AP reporter’s mistake: Did the punishment fit the crime?
Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified the News Media Guild as the Newspaper Guild. This version has been updated.

Reporters, you may have noticed, make lots of mistakes. But an error made by an Associated Press reporter in a 112-word story this month has proved particularly damaging — especially to the reporter and his editors — and has raised questions about the appropriate response when a news organization gets its facts wrong.

Blake, what about I saw every game of his pro career don't you understand? The guy was a WR, ok?
Blake, an idiot believes everything he reads. AP has made more than one mistake, ok?
You haven't proven them wrong and they haven't retracted.
You're a buffoon.
