My guess is that they work the same as regular contracts with the restriction that a player on a two-way can only play a certain number of games with the mothership. But it's a good question for Chinook.

Two-way deals aren't guaranteed for the whole season. The NBA half is supposedly at the discretion of the teams. Guys aren't en led to any more NBA-level salary than what they actually earn. That being said, I'm not sure about how they'd go about filling those roster spots if a guy gets cut/promoted.

Love how we are talking about scrubs replacing David Lee as if he hasn't had a fairly high level career including an all star appearance and a le and even for the Spurs, he was above-average for a bench player contribution.
