So will the continuing struggle between Jack Nies and Tim Duncan, to the extent that it actually persists. Nies is the lead official tonight. He'll be joined by Ed Malloy and Derek Richardson.
The first real test of the season. The Rockets are going to be a good team this year and they usually play well against the Spurs at home. This game should give us an idea of how good the Spurs are as of right now.
Oh and the Scola subplot will be interesting.

Sounds like the makings of a loss.
lol classic timvp
Early season game we'll have forgotten about in a few months, but still, the wins add up and it could be a tight division race. Go Spurs!
On late in Brazil so I won't watch it.
Spurs fresh off a nice win against Sac. Houston coming into a 2nd game of a B2B off a loss to Dallas. I expect a big Spurs win.
I'll be listening to the game while in class tonight... Lucky for me the game falls on a tuesday and is the only thing capable of keeping me awake during my kill-me-now night class. I'd love for the Spurs to really stomp the rockets, and make as much of a statement as can be made during game 4 of the season.
I had at least 15 students stop by today to ask if I was going to the game and tell me their Rockets would beat my Spurs. I just laughed and said, we'll see. I'll wear my championship gear if we win.![]()
I'll have to use ESPN gamecast.![]()
is there a website to listen to the pre game show online?
so do you think the Spurs will start off a little rusty with the layoff or will they come out on fire??
I vote on me making a wet spot on the floor and making Yao fall down 10 stories from his ginormus height.![]()
I'm just glad the season is finally underway.
I expect both teams to want this, early season or not.
It is somewhat of a statement game.
As has been said, everything from Scola to Nies to Division race is in the mix tonight.
We play well on the road, we're rested.
I feel good about it.
But I know not to under estimate the Rockets, even on a back to back.
I'm going to sit back and enjoy every minute of it.![]()

Thank God for Ducks.
I am a fantastic wife. I just let my husband go watch the game with his brother and a few of the other guys at Hooters. I have to admit, I wanted him to stay here with me, cause I was looking forward to this game, and also because the dog hasn't had a good walk tonight yet. But he wanted to go, so I gave him a big smile and told him to have fun.
Y'all are stuck with me now.
Goddamn it, Dish is giving me the Houston feed of the game. Bill Worrell sucks ass.
I'm in Houston, so I have no choice. Eh. Could be worse.
I hope I can watch the game tonight, but since it's election night, management is around.![]()
I have a class at 7 that I am skipping and a class at 830 that I will have to go to.![]()
Yeah - Calvin Murphy could still be with him.I'm in Houston, so I have no choice. Eh. Could be worse.
Exactly. God, he was awful.
is it still free on NBA league pass broadband? I thought it was over.
Just turned it on.
This 'reporter' is not great. He talks too much to try and answer his own questions, which I despise. Katie Couric does it too and I hate it. Either ask and let them answer or ask a clearer question to begin with. It's not an interview if you ask a question and then answer for them.
