if my only concern with castle was his shooting, i could buy that a guy like him who is a hard worker/character guy will put the time in the lab and get better, nor do i think his shot looks incredibly broken. the reason i dont like him QUITE as much as others here is the point guard thing. he...

I'm not comparing them as players so much as situations. Obviously Holland wouldn't be a connective passer want to be point guard at UConn. But just him as a prototype SF he fits the bill (and could bust into a 6-8 Okogie). As Castle might fit the profile of a big on ball creator, I don't think...

Seems fairly situational. Say that Chicago wants the 8. This has been batted about on the rumor mill. Don't know who the Bulls want. But if the Spurs get to their second pick and there are still Carter and Dillingham on the board, or Carter and Topic, then the trade can make sense. They have to...

In the end, I just can't compare Holland to Castle. There's no way Holland could do what Castle did on UConn. There's simply a different level of impact, discipline, and understanding of the game. Holland is disruptive on defense, sure, and has great instincts there, but he was awful on offense,...

Look, I am a big fan of Castle and would love to end up with him…but you can’t just casually dismiss having no jumper as if it’s an afterthought :lol Especially considering we just watched the Spurs be one of the worst shooting teams in the league this past season. There’s also reason to doubt...

You can throw Knecht up there or take Risacher down but I see a significant dropoff after that group. Once you get past that second tier of guards and wings of the Holland, Buzelis, Salaun, Topic, Dillingham, Carter, Williams, and whoever you want to add to it there is another dropoff. There...

It's mostly the shooting. But I put that to cover everything that people might see, there's plenty of videos and articles out there. I have seen critiques of him not being an elite athlete, not having point guard level skills, etc. Arguably as a wing player Holland is just as complete...

Debateable, and really just buying into the fiction that a Risacher is any better than a Knecht. Very much a doubt. I do think the draft gets a little soft around picks 8 or 9, but then it picks up in terms of value for the spot. There are gems scattered, and the draft may be deeper than most. A...

If I’m the Pistons I’m taking Clingan at 5 if he falls past the top 3. Duren to me is average at best. Less than a block a game, doesn’t even protect the rim. I then trade Duren for a much needed upgrade at the 4 who can provide shooting around Cade and Ausar such as Kuzma, Cam Johnson or Miles...

It's not like the Spurs are an established squad that are not going to be going through a lot of trial and error trying to figure out how to compete and win games. At least in SA, he would not have the expectations because of Wemby as opposed to a squad that had no one worth a shit.

Yup. Sarr was pretty much a lock for number one across most draft boards until they started snubbing Atlanta and pushing into Washington. Rarely does a no.1 pick get benched his first year.

He made Gordon his bitch in the second half after he walked through him and stood over him on that first half dead ball inbounds play in an effort to intimidate him. It just pissed him off.

Nah the draft just lacks prospects that look like likely All Stars and no likely All NBA. That does not mean the talent doesn't drop from the top 5 or so of Sarr, Risacher, Castle, Sheppard, and/or Clingan who are likely starters.

Jrue was never the problem. He proved that by going to Milwaukee and winning a title, and then going to Boston and winning another one. He’s an extremely low friction high efficiency player on offense, and a multiple time All D player. The problem in New Orleans was that Anthony Davis wasn’t an...

What flaws does he have, besides his shooting? He’s the closest thing to a complete, right sized player in the draft.

Obviously. What's different is how flat this draft is, fit becomes more important, so getting specific players. Probably nothing happens, but who knows.

Feels like there will be a lot of contingency spells that will go off under certain circumstances. Detroit trades down if Risacher/Sheppard doesn't get to them, for example.
