And to think that the Mavs reportedly could have had Artest if they'd been willing to part with JHo. . . .

Josh is a knucklehead with a reasonable contract that runs for several years. Artest is a cancer that will be a FA next summer.

Good one.

Oh, I think it's definitely a question of two different sorts of problems.

It might be easier to excise a cancer than to pay a knucklehead who is sitting in jail because, well, he's a knucklehead.

I'm not sure I would have made the trade, but as the hits just keep on coming for JHo, the questions about why the Mavericks didn't make that trade will increase.

I'm not opposed to trading Josh, but not for a cancer that can walk next summer. Then the Mavs would be up shit creek with no Josh and no Artest, and no cap room to go out and get a replacement. Too risky to give up an asset like that for potentially a one-year rental of a bipolar headcase.

No it won't, because it's Artest we're talking about. What's the penalty for drag racing in North Carolina? He won't miss one practice.

Considering what the Rockets gave up to get Artest, dealing Josh would've been extreme overpayment.

Street racing? Big deal. I got a ticket for that on Hildebrand going up to Alamo Stadium the first day I got my driver's license.

It never stopped me from playing one single game in the NBA.

RC didn't pass on him because he had the foresight to predict Howard would a dumb-ass. One has nothing to do with the other.

He passed out of the round because he was hot after Jason Kidd. How'd that turn out?

This is why we need a True Hollywood Stories for NBA players. Imagine JR Rider, Shawn Kemp, Latrell Sprewell etc....and now the slow decent into the abyss for J.Ho...

You do realize the trade came with Artests' Bird Rights right? We can go over the cap to re-sign him for whatever next season, or S&T, or just let him walk. We're in a pretty good position I'd say.

I didn't say it was a bad move for Houston. They didn't give up anybody that was in their future plans.

Josh for Artest would be a bad move for Dallas.

Because of his stupid acts

milkyway21
08-01-2008, 11:29 PM
reason why not everyone cannot be on this team. They don't need distraction. One Spurs was arrested once for speeding and he was so embarrassed he apologized to his teammates.

from now on I won't question why we didn't run for Artest, Rasheed, Sprewell & co.

Disciplined and role models are what the Spurs stand for.
(I cannot guarantee about that Kung Fu Ime if he won't retaliate for his teammates if they need him though :lol)

well, so far I like the atmosphere in this part of Texas town.
