    Josh is a knucklehead with a reasonable contract that runs for several years. Artest is a cancer that will be a FA next summer.

    Oh, I think it's definitely a question of two different sorts of problems.

    It might be easier to excise a cancer than to pay a knucklehead who is sitting in jail because, well, he's a knucklehead.

    I'm not sure I would have made the trade, but as the hits just keep on coming for JHo, the questions about why the Mavericks didn't make that trade will increase.

    I'm not opposed to trading Josh, but not for a cancer that can walk next summer. Then the Mavs would be up creek with no Josh and no Artest, and no cap room to go out and get a replacement. Too risky to give up an asset like that for potentially a one-year rental of a bipolar headcase.
