In fact, some of the most basic details, including the $700 billion figure Treasury would use to buy up bad debt, are fuzzy.
"It's not based on any particular data point," a Treasury spokeswoman told Forbes.com Tuesday. "We just wanted to choose a really large number."
This is nuts.

This is nuts. They're in too much of a rush to sign this check. This is far too important an issue to be taken lightly.
A real maverick or a real person for "change" would be putting the brakes on this crazy shit. They sure as hell wouldn't call leaders of congress and say, "if I can be helpful, I'll be there".

haven't found the news item, but senators on talk shows are saying this won't be the last big bailout........................................... ...........BEFORE THE ELECTION!!!!!
