    http://www.forbes.com/home/2008/09/2...23bailout.html

In fact, some of the most basic details, including the $700 billion figure Treasury would use to buy up bad debt, are fuzzy.

"It's not based on any particular data point," a Treasury spokeswoman told Forbes.com Tuesday. "We just wanted to choose a really large number."
    This is nuts.

This is nuts. They're in too much of a rush to sign this check. This is far too important an issue to be taken lightly.

A real maverick or a real person for "change" would be putting the brakes on this crazy . They sure as wouldn't call leaders of congress and say, "if I can be helpful, I'll be there".

Couldn't we do it for $70 billion and leverage the bailout?
