yay, I get to start one...
here's hoping Tony doesn't do a complete 180 from his last game.
I've been wanting to see Tolliver on the court, too...
Spurs need to get a W and keep this train a' rollin. Not going to get a Minnesota or Miami every night, so you gotta take advantage when you do.
Miami has been locking opponents down so far, so hopefully the Spurs don't hit the offensive skids again.
Good barometer to see Bowen up against Wade. Unfortunately, that still leaves Marion roaming free, so Mason will need to put in some energy.
I wanna see some Spurs defense, dammit.

That's too bad. I'm dieing to see what Tolliver's got.
Tony for 60 tonight.
Finley scores 5 points on 1-11 FG shooting.
Mason hits the game winner in triple OT.

this one will be all about transition D, which is pretty much all the Heat can do offensively at a high level..don't let Wade create in the open court..
Duncan's playing against under-sized opponents, so I'm expecting to get him involved early and I hope he dominates early, after it took him a little while to do so last game..

I can't believe this. Pop has completely fucked up.
He made a change which he wanted, but he made the wrong change. He's cut Roger's production by starting him and he's cut Finley's production by brining him off the bench.
I said Finley should be on the bench as third string, not fucking first useless man off the bench. Hill and Farmer should be ahead of him or at least start Udoka or Farmer not Mason. He's made it a two man game now. Tim and Tony. Thanks a lot Pop. Thanks a fucking lot.

Why the fuck wasn't Hill out there at the end of the quarter?
Why was Finley out there. Farmer was open for three and Mason got his pass intercepted. fucking awful.
Hill is a better defender than Michael I'd rather have Hill guarding a SF than Michael.
And STOP FUCKING LETTING CHRIS QUINN get open shots. This is the same guy that Shaq said in an insult to be on the court with him. Chris fucking QUINN.

Can you imagine how Barry felt sitting on the far end of the bench while Finley was starting?
Man that has got to be the reason Brent left. I know how Brent feels now. I really, really do. Pop dissed Brent bad by playing Michael ahead of him last season. Did you see Brent's emotion and heart in last seasons playoffs Vs Michael last season You know Brent had to be pissed off.

my first half assessment:
losing Parker was brutal....i hope he only misses the remainder of this game, based on how severe that looked.
Duncan is playing well, but has missed a few close range shots....btw, he has been hacked on a few shots and didn't get the call.
Mason is having a rare off night, but he gets a pass.....cant be hot every night. Sure wish he would heat up in the second half.
Finley sucks. Farmer can't shoot. Tolliver is playing some heady basketball.
Maybe we should cover Quinn. He is on fire. Beasley is playing well too.....sure wish Duncan could get the calls Beasley (a rookie) is getting.
That Miami coach doesn't look like a coach to me....he looks like some pretty boy straight from CSI Miami.

At the half, 1 Spur has more than 4 pts :lol
Pop won't play Pop until he's 100%, I'd guess. Could be days, could be a few weeks. All depends.

Finley is letting the team down bigtime. Aside from 0-offense, on that second last play before the half he missed a wide open Tim in the keway. For an exprienced guy he makes too many mistakes. He's a liability on both ends. Pop needs to put him on ice.
Mase hasn't done anything right so far. He can't play any worse than that . Hopefully he steps up in the second half.

No Manu and no Parker. At some point Duncan must have looked at the guys around him on the court and thought "Who the F* are these guys?"
"I love playing for this coach and I love playing with these guys," said O'Neal yesterday. "We have professionals who know what to do. No one is asking me to play with Chris Quinn or Ricky Davis. I'm actually on a team again."
Ice009
11-07-2008, 09:18 PM
hill didn't look rattled
He did a bit when Parker first went down, but that is to be expected.
Tim needs to settle down everyone at the half and tell them to relax and play ball. Everyone of those young guys is feeling the pressure because they're on the Spurs and we need to win. They're probably thinking I need to do it all and help us win. They're probably trying to do too much and rush things out there a little bit.
Tim needs to settle them down. We can still win this game. It all starts with defense though.
Also, I'd rather see Bonner out there than Michael. If this keeps going on I think I might start to believe this man crush theory ;)
