Hill is at his best when he's at his most aggressive, hopefully he keeps getting to the line in the 4th.

very bad end to the quarter..we started struggling right when Duncan went to the bench..we need to come out strong in the 4th, there's no possible excuse to lose a 20-point lead, so none of that tonight..

Good evening all! Before the game is done I wanted to ask if anyone happens to know what shoes Fabricio is wearing. My son pointed them out as a pair he wants, but I missed what he said they are. I don't want to ask again or he may be suspicious and I'd like to get them for Christmas.
And good evening to you.
As far as the shoes go, I have no clue, sorry.

this was an awesome win. very refreshing.
TD shouldn't have had to play 38, fuck. I know I'm nitpicking, but going with Fab and Bonner in the 4th for a bit wouldn't have been horrible.
yeah, duncan and parker shouldn't had been on the court for that long when the spurs are up 15-20 points for most of the game. offense always seems to stall when duncan is off the court so i guess popovich just didn't want denver to get any ideas.

Final: Spurs 108, Nuggets 91 (http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/spursworld/2008/12/gameday_spurs_vs_nuggets_1.html)
FOURTH QUARTER
The Big Three scored more than 20 points each and the Spurs took control with a dominant defensive effort in the second quarter to roll to a 108-91 road victory over the Denver Nuggets.
Manu Ginobili seems to score at times when the Spurs need a lift. His three-point with 2:50 left put the Spurs up 102-86 and this one could be about over.
Roger Mason Jr. hit a 3-pointer as part of a 7-0 Spurs run. Then the Nuggets scored seven straight points. The Spurs lead 97-81 with 5:06 left.
The Nuggets are trying to climb back in it as the game approaches the final stretch. They made a 7-2 surge that included a Chauncey Billups 3-pointer. The Spurs lead 90-74 with eight minutes left.
THIRD QUARTER
Manu Ginobili hit a 3-pointer late in the third quarter to help the Spurs finish the period with an 83-67 lead.
Tim Duncan scored eight points in the first nine minutes of the third quarter. He spun around Kenyon Martin and dunked the ball for a 78-55 Spurs lead.
The Spurs' defense had been slowing down everyone except Martin. The Nuggets got going a little bit with a 9-2 spurt that cut the Spurs' lead to 78-62.
The Spurs went to a three-guard lineup with Tony Parker, George Hill and Roger Mason Jr. on the floor together.
The Spurs continue to look solid. Matt Bonner, Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili all scored early in the second half as they extended their lead to 24 points.
SECOND QUARTER
The Spurs clamped down on defense in the second quarter and rolled to a 61-41 halftime lead.
Kenyon Martin was the only Nugget to make a basket in the last 10 minutes in the first half. The Spurs, in the meantime, got a combined 26 points from Tony Parker and Matt Bonner in the half.
Rookie guard George Hill is heating up. He hit a jumper that gave the Spurs their first double-digit lead. He followed that with a 3-pointer to make it 47-33.
Hill, who recently had a points-rebounds double-double, just grabbed three rebounds in about a minute.
Tim Duncan is up to nine points and the Spurs lead 36-31 early in the second quarter.
FIRST QUARTER
Matt Bonner had nine points to spark the Spurs to a 30-26 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Bonner was 4 of 5 from the field and had four rebounds - as many as all of the Nuggets combined. The Spurs had a 13-4 rebounding advantage.
Fabricio Oberto played not quite five minutes late in the first quarter. He didn't score, but recorded three rebounds and three assists.
Every Spurs starter scored in the first eight minutes of the game. Tony Parker is attacking and has scored the Spurs' last six points. They lead 24-19.
Matt Bonner hit his first three shots including a 3-pointer for seven points in the first seven minutes of the game. The Nuggets are also scoring well and the Spurs lead 17-15 at the first timeout.
This could be a high-scoring game. The Spurs made their first four shots and were tied 9-9.

True, but the last 3 minutes should've had Timmy out. Manu, Hill, and Bonner would be enough to not have a 16 pt lead disappear.

Let the man be happy. It's a huge win in the fact that we played a complete game efficiently. I'd say we are contenders. Don't be the buzz kill guy, that's lame.

Tim was amazing tonight. Forced nothing, just completely owned K-Mart (as usual), and swatted EVERYTHING. It's amazing how he's a one man wall in the paint and still manages to do the job against Nene, Martin, etc.

Duncan was incredible. It's always great to watch him in a game like this.
TD with a discreet performance..didnt even realized he scored 20+

Just getting back from watching the game-- I was the only Spurs fan there. Living in Portland I get to see just how much a lot of fans hate the Spurs. It really is ridiculous and I blame the media.
Anyway- great game and I thought the Spurs looked surprisingly good. The defense was there.

LOL at Barkley...MAKIN' IT RAIN!!! :lol
I love the way the Spurs played, especially the Big 3; it is alwasy very satfisfying to see all 3 play at a high level.
Only thing I want is for Mason and Hill to play like they were earlier and get used to the new face of the Spurs and then the league better just give up. :makemyday
Also props to Bowen, Fin, and Bonner for playing solid ball.

This was a very big win from many points of view. Spurs keep pace with the Mavs, get the big 3 in a little rhythm, play good d, get a road win and beat a quality team all in one night. Hopefully this can put some momentum in the drive for 5.

Bonner goes for 14pts, G-Hill and Mason add 11 each to the score and we finally get some production from someone other than the big three. If the red rocket can continue to play with the same physicality that I saw last night, maybe he just might up his trade value.
If he plays like that often, why would you trade him?

I was too happy the game was on TNT last night. I saw some of it......Spurs looked good! I watched the post game show on TNT. I think C. Webber likes the Spurs to win the Southwest; Kenny's needle is still stuck on Houston and Charles likes NO.
The Spurs, the 4 time champion of this decade, get no love & no respect....'cause they're old and they're not the Lakers or Celtics. :hat

And he wants an Horry successor even more, which it seems Bonner has finally turned into. I'm not psychologist, but idk why he wouldn't keep this mindset, since it's benefits far surpass his "perfectionist" outlook.
I still think Pop wants a REAL big...IMO
Bonner's 6'10 and 240. That sounds pretty big to me. He's playing like he's 6'10 too.
If he gets traded, we can all talk about it then. Why WANT to trade a player that fulfills a niche on the team the person you're trading for wouldn't? Additionally, Bonner's time in the system is invaluable since we are looking to WIN NOW.
The people wanting to trade Bonner are the same who said he'd never had a good game in his life about, oh 3 weeks ago.

If Bonner can be consistent, he'll be a huge asset to this Spurs team. If he becomes invisible again, and there's a better option out there, you have to consider it. Personally, I think he's turned a corner, and he's finally ready to fuck people up (yeah, that's you KG).

man i hope so. We know no one can ever be another Robert Horry in terms of his accomplishments and intangibles but he can bring that hustle and outside shooting touch that Horry brought to the Spurs.
