No one pisses me off more than these two. After the playoffs they jumped off the spurs wagon as quick as they jumped on. Now they are getting back on...

IIRC, the cockroaches comment was compliment. As in just like cockroaches, the spurs just won't die...or something to that effect.

I got pissed when he called the modern day dynasty "cockroaches".
Skip is my boy. Hes a cowboy hater and a Spurs lover. He still likes the Spurs but he just didnt pick them to go all the way this year.
Skip has come on local radio a couple times on 1250 AM with Chris Duel and hes a big time Tim Duncan/Manu fan.
Cockroaches is NOT a compliment, even if he meant it in a complimentary manner. The defending champs should NEVER be referred to as cockroaches.
Lost a lot of my respect with that comment, it doesn't matter at all, but the fact remains.

Barkley is an entertainer. Part of his job is to get people to tune in. He's got some great game knowledge, and I think the TNT crew is the best going, but don't forget the need for ratings. Inside the NBA is an Emmy winning show...for a reason besides the crew's basketball takes. It's entertainment.

Skip Bayless is normally a HUGE Spurs homer, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Spurs as a contender now that Manu and Parker are back.

Cockroaches are hard to beat or kill, it was a compliment and a joke. Chuck is cool. You guys bitch like women chill. It's all good, enjoy the Spurs it won't last forever and their run has been a joy, Tim's greatness, ah man I just wish I could have seen him live. I hope I do this season

I'm hoping for the Clippers game March 2. League Pass takes most of my basketball budget, not much left for decent tickets. Somehow nosebleed doesn't feel like the way to see him. But I may be fussing myself out of ever getting to see him, I may have to just get in the building where ever I can. We'll see how it goes.

Skip definitely did a 180 on the Spurs.
But Barkely had been consistently on the Spurs bandwagon for about 6 years before hopping off, so I'm not gonna rip him too bad.

Well Sean Elliott has referred to Bruce Bowen as a cockroach multiple times...for always lurking in the corners.
If its ok for Sean to make a "cockroach compliment" about a Spur it should be ok for Charles.

I guess they call it as they see it. Its their job to evaluate teams performances and future prospects based on many different variables. They'd be idiots and wouldn't last long in their jobs if they stuck to a single position or judgment no matter what new developments may have transpired affecting a team in question. At the end of the day, anything they say won't have any effect on the Spurs performance.. their job is to exert influence over their TV audience and increase their ratings and based on the reactions they get from fans it seems to be working.. so good for them. As for me, I just ignore completely what so-called expert analysts say and go with my gut.
