IIRC, the roaches comment was compliment. As in just like roaches, the spurs just won't die...or something to that effect.
I got pissed when he called the modern day dynasty " roaches".
Skip is my boy. Hes a cowboy hater and a Spurs lover. He still likes the Spurs but he just didnt pick them to go all the way this year.
Skip has come on local radio a couple times on 1250 AM with Chris Duel and hes a big time Tim Duncan/Manu fan.
roaches is NOT a compliment, even if he meant it in a complimentary manner. The defending champs should NEVER be referred to as roaches.
Lost a lot of my respect with that comment, it doesn't matter at all, but the fact remains.

Barkley is an entertainer. Part of his job is to get people to tune in. He's got some great game knowledge, and I think the TNT crew is the best going, but don't forget the need for ratings. Inside the NBA is an Emmy winning show...for a reason besides the crew's basketball takes. It's entertainment.

A better comparison would have been Rocky in Rocky IV.
So what did Bayless say today? ST.com needs one official thread where people post up Spurs opinions from people throughout the media on radio/tv/etc.
Skip Bayless is normally a HUGE Spurs homer, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Spurs as a contender now that Manu and Parker are back.
Skip in all his flamboyancy! He threw Manu's jersey on the ground on his tv show last season. At the time it wasn't widely known that Gino's ankle wasn't right, but that was noooooo excuse for what he did. I dont care if its just entertainment. If your team doesnt make it, its ride or die. Not dive off the bandwagon while doing breakneck speed.
Hes not DIEHARD. Just a big fan and recognizes greatness when he sees it.
skip is easily one of the worst talking heads on tv. charles is hilarious. he calls pop the best coach in the league constantly.
Most people who hate Skip are cowboys fans.....no suprise. haha
that has nothing to do with it, he's just a total jackass, and half-informed about everything.
hes kinda like Barkley in that hes entertaining but he has been pretty dead on about a number of predictions in sports recently.

roaches are hard to beat or kill, it was a compliment and a joke. Chuck is cool. You guys like women chill. It's all good, enjoy the Spurs it won't last forever and their run has been a joy, Tim's greatness, ah man I just wish I could have seen him live. I hope I do this season
