Like Charles would say take the voting away from the fans! I hate when people vote for people just because they are from their own country (Unless they are deserving and playing all star ball) and not based on performance. He is good but he is not near an all star. BTW Mccgrady up there too is a joke this year :lmao.

Nice to see Duncan there. One part of me would like to see him get the weekend off, but he'll be picked by the coaches if he's not voted in. Might as well keep the streak going if he's going to be there either way.

The fans are the ones who support the teams and players. If they want to see them there than so be it. Its just a meaningless game that is meant for pure entertainment purposes. If they want to make money that weekend they better let fans have thier input.

then it should not be called All-Star. They should not say 'there goes the 3 time allstar' etc, etc

why doesn't the league just take the bs voting away from the fans, gms, and everyone else and just focus solely on stats? i don't get it and i never will and that goes for the mvp as well and whatnot. all these awards and voting polls are pointless because the best always get burned.

let the stats speak for themselves!

Neither Tony/Manu will make it on votes anyway.

Surprising how many votes Bruce has. A lot of Spurs fans must be voting a straight ticket :)

Because it's a game for the fans to see their favorite players play. It's not the Best Stats in the NBA team game. It's just a popularity contest for the starters, then the coaches give the nod to whoever else is deserving as reserves.

Pretty sure Mongolia is still years away from getting electricity let alone the internets, but it would've been funny.

I don't understand the Vince Carter love affair. He's been an uber-pussy for at least the past 5 years.

Yeah I know, but seriously I am not going to vote a player based on where they are from and they have similar backgrounds as me! I vote who deserves to be in the game, not who my fave is or what race he is. My favorite happens to be Tim Duncan so there is no problem there :lol, I can vote for my favorite player and not feel guilty at all. BTW I agree with what you said and it is a popularity contest, but if a bum like say Yi gets in the leagues should have a veto ready for instances where a average guy gets in there because of votes from idiotic fans :rollin:rollin. I might go in there and vote Bonner a million times now because he might have Irish in him!!!!! :rolleyes

I a little surprised (but happy) to see Manu in 4th place among Western Conference guards. It's taken a while, but it seems that over the past year or two, people (other than Spurs fans) are finally starting to use the phrase "superstar" in connection with Ginobili.

Happy to see him finally getting some of the recognition he deserves.

Manu should be #3 above TMac and Tony should be ahead of JKidd.

Is an All Star game not the Finals. Is just a meaningless game that will be forgotten as soon as the final buzzer sounds. I don't see why it is a problem with fans seeing the players they want to see. Is basically a glorified pick up game.

What i think the all-star team should be based on all-stars:

East: Dwight Howard, Bosh, LeBron, Wade, Devin Harris
Reserves: Paul Pierce, KG, Joe Johnson, Vince Carter, Ray Allen (the last 2 are up for grabs, i dont know anyone else that stands out)

West: Yao, Timmy, Melo, Kobe, Paul
Reserves: Amare, Dirk, Roy, Billups, Gasol, TP, (not sure who to give the last one to)
