Weird trade for both teams. Bulls still don't have that inside scorer. Miller is just a banger at this point. Salmons plays the same position as Deng. Not really a SG.

When Andres Nocioni gets talked about for no reason the Bulls eventually will find a team dumb enough to think he's good. That entire roster is made up of extremely glorified players who haven't accomplished shit.

Talent wise, the Bulls definitely got the better end of the deal.

It looks as though it was more of a financial move by the Kings for specifically next season to avoid luxury tax implications. Beyond next season, Nocioni's contract doesn't add any more significant money to their payroll for 2009-10 and 2010-11. It only hits hard for about an extra $7 in the 2011-12 season, and that's three seasons away where some of their other bad contracts will have expired then, while it's possible that they could move Nocioni's contract before then anyway or use it as a trading piece in that expiring year.

Nocioni just sucks. He's not good and never was good. If he played for the Grizzlies no one would know who he is. Big market teams get an unfair amount of attention for their players and this trade is further proof. Nocioni is one of the worst contracts in basketball.
