Just saw the banner on nba.com. Salmons/Miller for Nocioni/Gooden

Doesn't Nocioni have a ty contract? If so, good trade for Chi.
Isn't Millers contract just as bad?
Weird trade for both teams. Bulls still don't have that inside scorer. Miller is just a banger at this point. Salmons plays the same position as Deng. Not really a SG.
For Sacramento, I guess they get Gooden's expiring contract.
dammit, i was really hoping the mavs could pull off a stack+filler for salmons trade
More than anything I'm curious as to where Gooden ends up next season.
If the Wizards dump Jamison's contract, maybe to the Wizards so he and his buddy DeShawn can come up with more interesting facial hair compe ions.
When Andres Nocioni gets talked about for no reason the Bulls eventually will find a team dumb enough to think he's good. That entire roster is made up of extremely glorified players who haven't accomplished .
Talent wise, the Bulls definitely got the better end of the deal.
It looks as though it was more of a financial move by the Kings for specifically next season to avoid luxury tax implications. Beyond next season, Nocioni's contract doesn't add any more significant money to their payroll for 2009-10 and 2010-11. It only hits hard for about an extra $7 in the 2011-12 season, and that's three seasons away where some of their other bad contracts will have expired then, while it's possible that they could move Nocioni's contract before then anyway or use it as a trading piece in that expiring year.
Nocioni just sucks. He's not good and never was good. If he played for the Grizzlies no one would know who he is. Big market teams get an unfair amount of attention for their players and this trade is further proof. Nocioni is one of the worst contracts in basketball.
I like Nocioni's game. He's definitely not worth his contract, but I don't think he sucks. If he were at about $4 million a year, even at three more years, I'd take him on my team as a back combo forward.
You like bricks and extremely overrated foul prone defense?
yeah, but we would have to take Beno's ty contract. But Beno's contract is really not much worse the Carrolls.
No. I like a player's ability to get under the skin of the opposing team, who will do the grunt work, compete hard, and has toughness.
By the way, he's shooting 38% from three point range this season. That includes shooting better than Leandro Barbosa, Michael Finley, Michael Redd, Jason Terry, Sasha Vujacic, Hedo Turkoglu, and Kyle Korver among others.
That's not very good considering he only shoots when wide open.
