I felt like the Blazers would be out for blood this game, but man this is pretty ridiculous. We just took a big dump on all those great defensive performances we had.

Yall see that freaking gift win by the refs in the Cleveland game. I am so sick of James running in the lane, flailing all over the place and getting the foul calls. If it was any other player (except Kobe), announcers would be all over the refs about calling crap like that with 1.6 seconds in a game.

Yep. I was just starting to think we were getting our D fine tuned. Getting back on track. And then they have back to back pathetic D performances. It's not too often you see the Spurs have back to back blow-outs. This game was harsh. We wasted Timmy's come back.:hat

Blazers shoot the same %age at home as the Spurs at home
http://www.nba.com/statistics/sortable_team_statistics/sortable1.html#top
but tonight they shot +20% over their avearage in first half, to make the game garbage time from the middle of the 2nd qtr, while the Spurs shot well under 40%.

Here is my prediction for our starting lineup in the playoffs:
C Thomas
F Duncan
F Bowen
G Finley
G Parker
I hope not, because that is a geriatric line-up if I've ever seen one.

The Cavs were out for blood on Friday and the Trailblazers were out for blood Sunday night.
That sure as hell doesn't say much about our Spurs! It's starting to look like we have a team of wimps if they can't rise to the occasion. We've had more than enough rest so they can't use that excuse any longer. Every team plays the same number of games. This Spurs team is lacking that killer instinct that our 4 championship teams had. They looked scared tonight and that is not the sign of a champion. Pop better start kicking ass and that includes ALL of the team, including Tim and Tony. There is absolutely no excuse for a performance like tonight. It was a pathetic performance!
The whole team should give 1/82nd of their salary to some charity. They sure as hell didn't earn a damn dime tonight.

the Spurs looked scared? LOL not at all..it's pretty obvious this season that we are probably the best team in the NBA when it comes to pressure situations..it has nothing to do with being scared..
this was just a horrible loss..one of the poorest efforts I've seen in a while, where nobody gave a fuck..
Duncan was rusty, Tony struggled with his J..everybody else wasn't worth mentioning..Pop coached a poor game..
on the other side, Portland made everything, even contested shots..they were also playing it like a playoff game, where McMillan was playing Roy for half the 4th(LOL), despite our bench being on the floor, and the game being a 20+ point deficit..
I don't think Portland would win more than 1 game against us in the playoffs..they're still a very soft, mentally weak team outside of Brandon Roy..

Well, I hope we find out whether that's true or not. I read on espn.com that the halftime deficit was the largest of any game that Duncan has ever played in...

Portland easily has some of these games, but I'm not hopeful about them in the playoffs..they still need some veterans, or for their team to grow in a few years..Roy is a killer, but I don't think anybody else on the team has that mentality yet..
I'm a big Oden fan, so I like to see them do well though..
