Mavs<Spurs has a great thread on the seedings. I'm sure it will get bumped after this game. Spells everything out pretty well.:toast
Wow I must of missed Danny Granger getting his teeth knocked out earlier in the season.
I can see why the Pacers fans wanted Artest and Jackson out of there so Danny can get more court time.
Danny Granger is a badass. He's smart, and he's a team player. He's one guy I would really love to see in Silver and Black.

used to...but as of a few years ago, a 2nd place team can be as high as a 2 seed, if they have a better record than the other two division winners.
all 3 division winners are guaranteed a top 4 seed, not a top 3.

You're back to being my sig bitch. Being a division winner guarantees one of the top 4 spots. But if a non-division winner has a better record than one of the division winners, they get the higher seed. This is a new rule for this season and has been already explained in the seeding thread. In order for this to happen we need to beat NO and Dallas needs to beat Houston.

Actually, that game was 30 December, and the next night I went to Ruby Sky, an amazing club in Downtown SF for NYE. The Crystal Method were playing, but I ended up spending most of the night in the back bar hangin with the DJ who was a huge, African-American linebacker type, and smoking blunts with him. He tried to hook me up with this chick, but she was a total biatch, so I let her play her games and just enjoyed the scenery instead. ;)
Went home about 3am because I had to pick up a car to drive up the coast next day. Night I'll never forget though...

well, with the Warriors missing their three best scorers, this had all the makings of a blow-out
Last night we were playing the worst team in the NBA, played like shit and damn near lost.
RuffnReadyOzStyle
04-13-2009, 11:30 PM
and we lost it even more this year when bruce lost a step.
Exactly.
If you look at the progression - first Horry goes, then Bowen loses enough that he can't really change games consistently any more, then Tim's knees slowed him down, then Manu went out (he's not a great individual defender, but is a great steal gambler and helper) - it's not surprising where we've ended up i.e. a team that needs to score to win.
We need some youth to come in and turn that trend around - hopefully Gist/Hairston/Mahinmi will help.

he better have 16 pts.....he is a black hole on offense.....he is a vacuum, he sucks the ball from his teammates and eats it for the rest of the shot clock.
I know I put this in the other thread, but it works here too.
As long as the guy keeps shooting around 50%, and gets to the line nearly as often as Duncan on a per-36 basis, I'd let him shoot it 30 times per night.
Those trips to the line are something this team has needed desperately, too. Every one of those whistles is one that they can't use on Duncan. They help get the other teams into the penalty. Getting to the line is a way to crawl back into a game when you're struggling, and it can give you an opportunity to win a game late in the 4th, when you're behind.
Exactly what the fuck do you guys want? A guy who can put points on the board without taking shots? Or maybe he should just defer to one of the guys we have shooting 70% from the floor
