That's pretty pathetic. I mean if you're calling an NBA game on ESPN and you don't know that Jordan's game winner in the 1998 Finals was over Bryon Russell then you probably shouldn't be calling games. That's one of the most memorable moments in NBA history and NBA playoff history.

I thought her gushing over Kobe in the 4th went overboard. I can understanding praising him for an awesome game, but she took it to another level. I'm not surprised considering she grew up a huge Lakers fan.

And bonus points should be awarded to remembering jordan pushed off and which arm he did it with.

I heard they had to throw away the chair she was using due to sanitary reasons.

Lmao@ Doris, what is espn thinking. I hope that's the last game we ever have to hear from her. She should just be doing WNBA games.

She must be dyslexic to get her numbers mixed up like that, it was actually 1989.

Yup...highest rated game in NBA history...I remember exactly where I was when that happened, too...I was watching the game at CJ Borgs in the SeaTac airport while waiting for my flight to Anchorage. I remember thinking, "Son of a bitch, they did it again!" :lol
Of course, Eisley's 3 in the first half should have counted, but he got whored out by Dick Bavetta. I'm not saying the Jazz would definitely have won Game 6 if that shot had counted like it should have, or that they would have then won Game 7, but still...

Even though ESPN's picture quality is much better than KCAL's, I couldn't watch it because of Burke.

Don't forget Ron Harper's jumper that came after the shot clock buzzer yet they still counted it. That's 5 points right there.
You know you got screwed when Dick Bavetta makes it a point the following preseason to apologize for the pathetic refereeing in that game.

That and Eisley's 3 in the same game that was waved off (but it clearly left his hand before the 24 sec clock expired) :bang
-2 + 3 = -1.
Jazz win game 6 :bang

Yeah...I already mentioned Eisley's 3-pointer...not saying it would have changed the outcome of the series...there would've still been Game 7 to play had the Jazz won Game 6...but they would at least have had a fair shot at it...
