I need the recover disk
the hard drive is shot
customer speaks spanish only
I need the recover disk to make it all spanish

you need to reinstall the OS or just change the language settings?

I tried to change the language settings
it is english I need spanish
I have xp disk but if I had the recover disk I could select spanish and it all would be in spanish
I tried to copy the bad hard drive to the new one 3 times and it will not copy

dont they partitioned the drive where OS backup is on drive and watever is on the other....
most new laptop buyers are required to do a backup recover disk when they bootup just in case they forget and format the crap and dont have the disks to reinstall....
you tried getting a copy from the helpline? they do send them out if you show them receipts and shit and tell them ur a noob.

that's correct... hp is such a pos company it's insane they actually make profit at all. i can't believe people buy those crappy computers.
anyhow, that's besides the point. the recovery files should be on the other partition and you should be able to access that from the bootup options on the pc.

he wanted english after all
so I got it working without recover disk
he was to cheap
