Probably would only be possible if we broke up the Fab 4. No thanks.

A curious idea perhaps in 2010, provided he'd be fine coming off the bench.

His contract is $20 million, am I missing something here? Veteran's minimum next year, then we are talking.

Draft buzz: Cavs closer to getting Shaq?
By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports
Editor’s note: This is the latest from around the league; be sure to check back throughout the day for more NBA draft updates. Last update: 8 p.m. ET.
NEW YORK – Phoenix center Shaquille O’Neal is creeping closer to joining the championship chase with LeBron James, league sources said on Wednesday.
The Shaq-to-Cleveland trade talks have gained momentum and Cavaliers officials are nearing the conclusion they should make the move for O’Neal, sources said. Now, they have to find the package that’ll work with Phoenix.
One league executive says there’s an “inevitability” to the talks and that, “It’s going to get done.”
Nevertheless, there are still hurdles. Besides taking Ben Wallace and Sasha Pavlovic, Phoenix wants Cleveland to surrender cash and future draft picks. Both teams have tried to find a third team to get involved, but with no luck yet.
Cleveland and Phoenix are both juggling multiple trade possibilities with other teams, with the Cavs involved with as many as six trade scenarios.
Yet the disappointing Eastern Conference finals loss to the Orlando Magic has left GM Danny Ferry with incredible pressure to accumulate talent around James in the final season prior to his 2010 free agency. James has blessed the O’Neal trade, especially because it might give his overmatched frontline a chance to compete with Dwight Howard in the playoffs. Ferry and Phoenix GM Steve Kerr are close friends and talked off and on about a Shaq deal since the February trade deadline.
O’Neal, 37, makes $21 million next season, and the Suns are determined to move him in a package that’ll save them money. Wallace makes $14 million and could take a buyout to retire, and only $1.5 million of Pavlovic’s $4.9 million salary is guaranteed.

Has Shaq ever been willing to be 2nd fiddle?
Even when he was proclaiming D-Wade's greatness, he was also claiming some responsibility for it... "I will help make him the best"
Eventually I can envision him subtly trying to wrest control of the team away from Duncan, driven by his need to be the alpha dog.
Most dominant ever?
no thank you.

Can the Cavs still sign Rasheed Wallace?
I hope Pop was at Rasheed's house getting him to sign with us. How about Pop gets on the phone with Ben Wallace and he takes a buyout to have a run with the Spurs. Ben would be great as a bench big and I think if he's over his injuries Pop could get him back in shape playing great D.
