Have you conducted a poll? You seem like you know this as fact.

There's no need for that. It's not even close. Everybody in the world know and care about the Olympics. While most of the people in the world don't give a fuck about the NBA.

It was team USA that didn't give a fuck about the 2004 olympics hold in Athens Greece, then the Argentinian team got the gold medal while USA only reaped a bronze. But no other team can even do shit once USA team get serious with the Olympics and poised to win the gold.

If you want to include Manu in that discussion, he's maybe a distant 3rd, but probably not. He might be in the top 5 though. You still have Petrovic and V-Span to discuss, of course.

The Dream Shake was extremely difficult to defend, much like the sky hook of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.[7] The Dream Shake's closest modern equivalent comes from Kevin Garnett, whose moves have less variety and include some perimeter action

That article was written in September of 2006 and he doesn't even mention Dirk in the foreign players section. "Don't forget were dealing with the Basketball Hall of Fame, not the NBA Hall-o-Fame. People tend to overlook this when they talk about candidates. There are many college coaches, women coaches (Summit), contributors (Dave Gavitt), women players (Cheryl Miller, Ann Meyers) and foreign players & coaches inducted in Springfield.

This can open up a whole can of worms for the committee with evaluating NBA players. What do you do with guys who had legendary college careers but had solid NBA careers at best? (see Laettner) What do you do with foreign players who come over to play in the NBA? Alot of the time these foreign players have had solid NBA careers, but if they stayed over in Europe they would have been legendary & possible Hall candidates like Kresmir Cosic or Dino Meneghin (see Divac). An even tougher case is what to do with a guy like Detlef Schrempf (who played his whole college career & some of high school in the US) ? See these are some of the problems that crop up when you don't just have an NBA-only Hall of Fame."

Dirk is arguably the most efficient offensive player in the League. Kobe takes more bad shots, although of course Kobe is better. Dirk never turns the ball over and he shoots 47-50% from the floor. A Dirk fadeaway is about as efficient as it gets.

If you're talking about points per shot, I calculated and posted that earlier in the post for some superstars. LBJ was the highest I could find, followed by Chris Paul.

I go back to school August 8th, if you know of a company that will hire me knowing I'm leaving for school two weeks from now, I'd love to hear. I applied for probably 200 jobs this summer, once June was almost over it was pointless to keep doing that since no one is gonna hire me for a month.

jobs are easier if you know someone who works at a place, for example in-n-out. Knew a friend from where i work at right now Cold Stone, and he was able to get me a job over there. Put in a good word for me and they liked my history at the jobs i used to work at. Even a minimum wage job is better than sitting on my ass all day playing NBA2k9. And oh yeah, I am also on summer vacation and start school in middle of sept.

And if you weren't a fat, lazy piece of shit, you could navigate the thread and get your answer. You come in at Page 30 and ask shit that was settled pages back. I'm not going to spoonfeed your lazy ass.

You done cryin sweetheart? Need a hug? Why are mav fans so uptight - I'm sorry Hanson's not doing a reunion tour, but that's no reason to get so frustrated. My question was not on who was better of the two, but why dirk's resume was better - there's a difference.

I asked plenty of people, from what I understand you basically need to have a connection or know someone if you want a job right now. I even hit up my old boss who I got along with really well and he said they laid off 70 people last month and actually completely got rid of my job once I quit.

That's hilarious. Bullshit whistles got them in position to play the Heat. If not for the bullshit whistles, as you call them, they would have never been in the finals in the first place. Sweet irony.

what bs whistles were there in the memphis and phoenix series? i dont recall there being a problem. we wont mention the spurs series because the whistles were equally bad both ways, and the spurs actually got more benefit as they had less fouls called against them, and shot more free throws through the series. not to mention at the end of game 5 or 6 when tony parker grabbed dirks jersey and pulled him back on a potential game winning shot.

please shut up already. the series was fair. only fuckfaced spurfans like you still whine about it. people who arent even mavs fans, even people who hate the mavs, still say that the heat/mavs series was very fishy.

it wasn't "the same amount of times." the fucker set an all time record for free throw attempts in a series besting MICHAEL JORDAN. more than once he would shoot a wide open jumper because our guys had to play way off of him for fear of a whistle, and proceed to fall down with no one within reaching distance and get a whistle. did you watch the series or just laughed about the score in the paper?

the fuck is this guy talking about? the "nba" hall of fame is the Naismith, same as everyone else gets inducted into.

www.hoophall.com

there's only one that's ever mattered. there is no "nba" hall of fame outside of this one AFAIK. AKA, NBA players ONLY get accept induction into this hall of fame. So again, dunno what the hell anyone else would be talking about.

Therefore, Manu is a LOCK.

I don't feel like dredging through a 35-page thread, but I believe what DAF86 said was that if Trajan Langdon won a Euroleague MVP and/or championship , then he would have to be considered for the HOF.

I said that with the eurolegue 'ship and the MVP he has a case for the HoF, which is absolutely true but it isn't the same as saying "Langdon is a HoF".

You mean the ship and MVP give him pretty much leverage and make him very likely to become a Hall of Famer in the future, of course he is not yet a Hall of Famer and no active player can be according to the rules, which forbids a player to be recruited into HOF until the 5th year after his retirement.

I love how the same Spurs fans that claim the Spurs were cheated by the officials in 2006 get mad at Suns fans who bitch about officiating in 2007.........when the 2007 series was the series investigated by the FBI because of a game officiated by a crooked ref.

That series was investigated by the FBI only because of Donaghy but IMO there was nothing strange or wrong with the officiating.

Maybe he is, but it isn't as sure as Manu's lock.

If I were a homer I'd have put Manu on the top 16 list. Manu is already a first ballot HoF, Dirk isn't right now. Tell me how's that beign a homer.

if the people that vote to get players into the HoF would have to pick only one between Manu and Dirk. Manu'd get the nod.

They each got that fuckin' ring at my expense. You'd think the worst would be KG in Boston, but, that kraut bastard in Dallas was the worst. I never saw somebody so GD hot in my life, it was almost mechanical. And do you think coach (who was it then?) would've sold out and doubled Nowit? Nope. Took it like a trouper. And that Polack bastard (name escapes me) got rung out of it as well. SOB! We denied that SOB in Sacramento,,,he transfers to Texas and gets straightened out. I nearly cried.

:lmao saying Dirk wasn’t a HOF

apparently

~15/4/4 career statline
1x all star
1x 3rd team all NBA
had to play overseas until 25 when finally good enough to succeed in the NBA
euroleague champ (when euroleague was still mediocre at best)
Olympic champ (on a year that elite USA players didn't participate, Argentina had the most NBA players outside of USA, and all other teams were crap)
3x champion as a 6th man on 12 deep squads

is better than

~24/9/3 career statline
8x all star
2x all NBA third team
3x all NBA second team
4x all NBA first team
1x NBA MVP
led moderately talented but flawed teams to multiple 60 win seasons and a finals appearance
led a total crap German team to an Olympic appearance
was good enough to make the NBA at 20
