I call out bad calls, especially ones that kill drives or have a big impact. The officiating was slanted big time towards ou in the first but close to even since. I'm not blaming them for anything they don't fuck up.

Biggest play of the game IMO was when the inexperienced QB didn't take a shot down the field when Texas only had one defender covering two WRs on the short side of the field.

A simple pump fake probably nets OU an easy TD.

Florida needed big breaks against an Arkansas team without their leading rusher. They didn't look exactly awesome either. Keep in mind when UT struggled like hell against a depleted aggie team in 2005. SC fans were claiming "Texas wasn't good enough" and how did that turn out? Yeah....

This...and Bama needed a last minute change to the wildcat formation to finish off South Carolina, whose defense dominated the Tide till that point. You have to get through these games to win a title...if you don't know what it's like to win a close one, you won't know what to do when you get to that point.

Florida didn't win because of 'breaks'today. They won because the refs handed them the game.
I only watched the last few minutes so maybe arkansas got some calls before, I don't know, but I puked at least 4 times from the officiating crew and the calls they gave Fl in teh last 5 minutes.

While the refs made some bad calls, they weren't the result of a stupid 3rd down play (late in that 4th) when they got conservative. Then they missed the fg. Refs being bad or not, Arkansas had their chances to overcome it and simply couldn't do it.

Florida doesn't win without the bad calls. Arkansas lost the game because of missed opportunities, but Florida needed the bad calls to win. I'd be worried if I were a Gators fan.

Arkansas wins the game, despite the miscues, if the refs were competent in the last 5 minutes.

As I stated on the ESPN conversation, Florida was playing finesse ball out there. Arkansas was physical on defense and the Gators offense seemed to struggle because of it. If I'm Bama, I'm watering at the mouth to get my hands on Florida.

Yeah...Jefferson does get rattled pretty easily...game should definitely be interesting. If LSU's defense can step up like SC's did today, it will be a good game, as long as Jefferson can keep his wits about him. By the way, Snead looked a hell of a lot better today than he did last week.

" Roughly 100 minutes after the ragged Red River Rivalry game ended, the handlers of Texas' famed mascot rousted their steer from his resting spot on the 15-yard line of the Cotton Bowl.

Bevo plodded to the 10, then the 5 … and as he reached the Oklahoma goal line, he starched his tail stiffly behind him and left a lovely parting gift on the crimson paint of the end zone."

Really? That's the dumbest thing you've ever heard? You don't get around much, do you? You should try reading your own quotes..you'll find a few gems in there a HELL of a lot dumber than mine. You don't think an injured Sam Bradford would have thrown interceptions? Landry Jones has played phenomenal for the Sooners this year when he was in the game. When Texas studied OU this week, they studied Bradford, not Jones. You need to wake up and realize that UT has the better team this year..it's blatantly obvious, and the game was closer than it should have been. If we grab that fumble right there at the one yard line instead of jumping over it, it's another UT touchdown. Bradford threw 2 for 6...33%...and was sacked twice. Landry threw the ball 43 times for over 50% and a TD. Colt McCoy had one of the worst games I've ever seen out of him, and we still won. You can't blame this game on anything...you had a great QB in there that will eventually be better than Bradford, and our defense won like they've been doing all year.

Landry threw the ball 43 times for over 50% and a TD. Colt McCoy had one of the worst games I've ever seen out of him, and we still won. You can't blame this game on anything...you had a great QB in there that will eventually be better than Bradford, and our defense won like they've been doing all year.

dude you have no clue Jones will be a great qb there is no doubt, but Sam is one of the best qb's in the country and the best qb at Oklahoma since Jack Mildren

also heading in to the game same was not injured he had completely recovered of all injures.

also Colt saved the game for your team after he threw that pick late in the 4th and made the tackle after ward if not for that it is 6 the other way.

ut having a better team is not blatantly obvious when they only win by 3 points against a team who's best player only threw 6 passes.

next time you post something stick to what you know which would be tossing make browns salad not the Sooner's qb depth chart you jack off

what about the face mask on the punt return ut would have been penned inside it's own 10 when they made that bull shit call

still a personal foul penalty if you facemask someone without the ball too the replay showed right in front an ou guy facemasking a return blocker

Good thing you're not a ref. It was pretty blatant. Even the stupid announcers who were all over the refs because there wasnt one on Shipley, namely Mussbergers old blind ass, admitted they were wrong and there was one on the blocker. It was pretty easy to see.

And how the fuck do you figure bradford was completely healed? If he was that hit woudlnt have injured him. Maybe he should have spent less time playing wiffle ball home run derby

OU lost, get on with life. Yes OU had some chances that they could have scored but so did UT. I mean really it was what would be considered a classic SEC game except it wasn't. So most people consider it a crap game.

OU could have ran away with it if they catch those four or five pick-sixes mccoy gift wrapped for them.

UT could have ran away with it if we didn't turn it over in the red zone twice.

are you fucking insane? It was on the screen, dumbass..if you actually watched it, which obviously you didn't, or you weren't paying attention..it was right on the lower left hand side of the screen...the guy in the OU special teams grabbed the UT blocker by the facemask...quit trying to look cool and act like you have any idea what you're talking about. Everyone in this thread saw the facemask..why didn't you?

First off, I'm aware Bradford is a great QB...he was injured in the 2nd series..that's why I said it was better if he was on the bench. Yes..Colt made the game saving tackle...but don't forget, it was our defense that stopped you from scoring after that interception. And who is Make Brown by the way? Never heard of him. Landry > Bradford...Texas > Oklahoma...goodnight.

Landry > Bradford...Texas > Oklahoma.

this year ut is great but Landry is not better than Bradford and had Bradford stayed in the game ut may have still one but Sam would have made better choices than his back up.

that is all i have been trying to tell you

All I know as I sit here in my office at 11:45 on a beautiful fall day in central Texas is this: ou still sucks!

Talk all you want to about this chance, that call, this ball we could have recovered, etc. If it helps ou fans sleep better at night, great. The FACT at this point is that we beat ou yet again, and 4 out of the last 5. I also think ou is a much better football team than their record indicates, and we showed some real toughness in winning that game.

So, ou is now in the rear view mirror going back to that god-forsaken state where their university is located. We've got to focus on a tough night game against Mizzou this weekend. HOOK'EM!!!
