Well, they meet again. Only this time, teams have changed, no Yao, McGrady for the Rockets. Artest to the Lakers, which should make for an interesting return to Houston. Yes, we appreciate that he HELPED get them out of the first round, but it was time to let him go for he did not fit with what the Rox are trying to do now that they have lost Yao, McGrady supposedly coming back later this month. Gasol out for the Lakers, and the Lakers coming off a tough road win in OKC, which we will see if they are tired. The achilles heal for the Lakers is speed, and athletic teams. If the Rockets play team ball, and play fast and uptempo, then they win. The achilles heal for the Rockets is obviously size. But don't underestimate Chuck Hayes, who is a really good defender in the post. Storyline of the game will be Ariza vs Artest, to see who came out better in the swap. I think the game hinges on that. Ariza will try to prove the Lakers wrong for letting him walk, and Artest will try to do the same.

Believe me, as much as I love Ron, if there is anybody thats going to fuck you up, its going to be him. I doubt bynum is going to own hayes, he will have a decent game. Missing Gasol changes the entire equation he takes you guys from good, to the best in the league. Missing him has hurt you guys badly, but hopefully he will be ok for the remainder of the season.

Kobe has historically owned us, so its actually going to come down to him.
If we hit our 3s, we will have a shot.

Lakers lost by 5.

Scola or Landry needs to own whoever plays PF for Lakers.

Brooks needs to torch Fisher.

Kobe will drop 30 on us as usual, hopefully at less than 50% shooting.

Artest might overplay the game and chuck a lot of shots; we need him to do that to win. Artest can't guard the point or pf well, thats where most of our points will have to come from.

Hayes will have to own Bynum defensively. I doubt Bynum is physically stronger than Oden.

Maybe in another game but I think this one Ron's going to be on his very best behavior. Both Trevor and Ron are going to be dueling for "who got the better deal" honors. Should be awesome.

I doubt bynum is going to own hayes, he will have a decent game.

Bynum owes Hayes big time for what he did to him in the last Playoffs. Bynum being a Playoff non-factor was largely attributed to the Rocket series.

I forgot my boy Lamar, I don't think he likes Scola. This should also add to the fun.

What's your game predictions, Sook?

Who will guard Kobe?

Who will guard Artest?

Battier guards Kobe well but Ariza gives up like 40 pounds to Artest. Ariza doesn't do well against bulky dudes.

Normally I have some kind of prediction but win/loss range is around 20-30 points. We are like a bunch of 50 year old cogs found in the sewer, running a factory. We have managed to squeeze production somehow but it just won't happen every night. And when it doesn't, due to our HUGE lack of size, we will get raped.

leave batman on kobe.

artest will probably try to do some 1 on 1 bullshit v. ariza to show he is better than him and manage to play completely out of control. who knows...ron may have one of those game where he is able to hit 6 of 8 from off balance fade away 3pt land. anyhow, i would be extremely surprised if artest actually tried to use his advantage in the post so i am not really worried about artest on offense.

Do you even watch the games? Artest is going to the post more and more every game and being encouraged to do so. Do you honestly... and I am being serious here... do you honestly think Phil & Kobe are going to let Ron play out of control and chuck off ballance fade away 3's? That's Kobe's role.

Really? When he does that... you will see him promptly assigned a seat next to Sasha.

If the Lakers can contain Scola and Brooks, then they will probably win. Brooks was Lakers' biggest problem after Yao went down last season, and so far this season he is averaging 20 ppg and 8+ assist.

Should be an interesting game. I'm more excited to see Ariza vs Artest than anything else.

If the Rockets win it's cause Adleman unleashed his X-Factor. Chase Budinger

Rockets need Brooks to penetrate and completely own Fisher which he will. Budinger needs to turn into the second coming of Reggie Miller and rain 3's on the Laker's head all night long.

Can the Lakers keep up? The Rockets are going to run, and take the first available shot.

If they go in, the Rockets win, if not, the Lakers have the advantage.

And the Lakers can not match up with Aaron Brooks......and their bench is absolutely putrid.

Gonna be a close one I think.

Budinger to the Rockets is like Dejuan Blair is to the Spurs.

Budinger is a sharpshooter with unbelievable athletic ability and gets his shot off really fast. Could be a young Brent Barry or perhaps a Reggie Miller type player.

I am worried that Ron and Ariza will take upon each other to try and take the game over for their sides. Rocket fans can say "Ariza isn't like that", but you'd have to be fooling yourself if you don't think that Ariza has some animosity toward the Lakers' front office. And Ron Artest is Ron Artest. He definitely doesn't like Ariza putting up great numbers. Hopefully he takes it upon himself to try and stop Ariza by playing D and not trying to light it up.
