It's a little bit of both regarding Dirk IMHO. The Defense as a whole is playing really well.... It's the defense we SHOULD be playing. There's still some things I dont like (some missed rotations and such) but they have been minor in this game.

Pop needs to understand that Finley isn't an NBA player anymore, Bonner cannot play at this level, and Mason is not a PG, is in a slump and needs to improve considerably on defense before he earns any more minutes.

It's not looking like I gave Bogans enough credit athletically. I knew he was a solid, strong defender but I didn't think he had quite the foot-speed to dog people the way he has this first half; Howard's strength is often overlooked and something that usually gives the Spurs fits but Bogans matches up very well in that aspect.

RJ's free throw shooting is getting ridiculously Spurs-like, but I'm finding that athleticism is pretty useful..

Hill's D has looked really good, actually, the team's D overall has, but Mason is clearly in a funk and out of sorts.
