guilleDr
¿Cómo te ves cargando los 2?
Uhhh! Ni idea! Todavía no me imagino.

Nada nuevo.

claudio987
¿Pasaste por la sesión fotográfica del foro? Déjanos una opinión.
Ahí me puse a mirar.

Nash y Nowitzky arrancaron tremendos.
Preguntale a Scola!

No queda bien.

What do you think of what Jennings, the Bucks rookie, is doing right now?
Impressive. I haven't played against him yet, but he caught everyone by surprise. We'll see if he can sustain that high level.
Do you think that what Brandon did, going to Europe instead of College as a stepping stone to play in the NBA, is going to become the norm with players coming out of high school?
I don't think it's going to be the norm, but it might happen a couple more times, sure.

fer21
What's the reason why San Antonio cannot be solid defensively yet when it's something that's been done efficiently in the past? Could it be the arrival of plenty new players and that it takes them time to learn the defensive system used by the Spurs?
I don't think it's that. Last year we didn't defend well either. Everyone is at fault, but above all, those that play the most, which are at the end of the day the ones on the court.

cherny2004
Did you ever think about calling it quits, dedicate yourself to enjoy the fruits of your labor along with your family and friends, without as many responsibilities?
No. I like what I do a lot. Sometimes I get pissed off, injuries really get me frustrated, but above all there's more good stuff than bad stuff.

Timcho_15
In an interview on Basquet Plus magazine in Argentina, you said it bothers you that a lot of people consider you fragile because of your injuries… Besides of that, what else bother you?
Quite a few! Je Je. Wait for the book! ;-)
How do you see Oberto gameplay now that he's having more minutes to play and how will you feel playing against him?
It's going to be weird playing against him. I haven't done that since the Euroleague 2000 finals! So you can imagine. I see him well. I think without a doubt that he's going to be very useful to his team.

mdemian23
Are you going to extend with the Spurs? Is that one of your goals?
Yes, it's one of my goals, but I should be one of their goals too! Je Je. When the time comes we'll see if I stay or if I grab my bags and change teams.

Fernando
What team do you think can be the surprise team of the season? Phoenix maybe?
A lot of people didn't think Phoenix had it this year, but they're playing great. Atlanta is also very solid in the East.
About you guys… Do you think you can compete with the Lakers once the new guys mesh in?
We think so, but we have to improve A WHOLE LOT and quickly to do it.

kevin20
Do you feel like going to the Worlds Championship next year?
I can't even think about the Worlds right now. There's no doubt I'm going to like to go, but there's other things…

velarde
Would you like to play on the Lakers?
If it's not San Antonio then I'd like to play in any team that has championship aspirations and the Lakers are always candidate.

guilleDr
How do you see yourself holding your two kids?
Uhhh! No idea! I still can't picture it. There's still 6 months to go, so I have time.
Do you guys have some names in mind?
Yes, but we won't say until it's time! ;-)
Did you talk to Jefferson about the 2003 Finals? Did you talk to him about the steal you had in Game 6? (his face was like he wanted to kill you jaja)
No, not at all. The topic didn't come up.

santi2006
How are you doing with Lost? Did you get to the fifth season or are you stuck on the fourth?
I finished watching the 5th and I'm really expecting the last one. We'll see what they come up with.
Do you have any new series to recommend?
Nothing new. I watch House, Monk, Chuck and I started with FlashForward but it didn't really caught me much.

MmP
Did you see El Secreto de sus Ojos? What did you think about it? If you didn't see it I recommend you to see it as soon as possible. It's good in every way. It opens up your mind.
Honestly, no yet. I wanted to go see it, but I ended up coming this way and didn't do it. I like Darín a lot (in what he does), so as soon as I can I'll watch it.

didemes
How could it be that missing players, two of them pillars of the team, you guys play so good, and when they come back the team plays worse? I know, it's just one game, but you do get that sensation…
Because we're no ready yet and we're not playing all too well when we're all together.

Talking about that, the lineup that includes RJ, Hill and you looks great. It's like you guys know where the other guy is, or it's going to be. Since Hill is in his second season and RJ on his first season, the connection looks surprising: Does it just happen? Or do you guys practice it?
Depends on the game you watch. If you look at the Utah or Portland game I'm sure you're thinking: "Please, those 3 play so bad together". We're trying to get to know each other. Sometimes the plays work, sometimes not as well as we'd like. There will be a time for regularity and consolidation.

claudio987
Did you look at the photo session in the forums? Please tell us what you think.
I looked. Some of them are great! Really good! I have a couple that might qualify, I'll post them when I have time. Thanks for reminding me, I almost forgot.
What did you think of Windows 7?
I'm still trying and getting used to it. It has a few 'toys' that are very useful. So far so good.
If you brothers would be the godfathers of your babies, who do you think would spoil them most?
Possibly Leandro, but it's hard to tell. They're both good with their godsons.

jalberto
What is it that your parents did undeniably well while raising and educating you that you would repeat as a father?
I really don't know! They were strict, but they never raised a hand. All 3 of us were pretty docile and obedient. When the time comes I'll sit my parents down and ask them the appropriate questions! ;-)

Ivan
I imagine that you have a good relationship with your new teammates. Who do you have a higher affinity/chemistry with on the court (both in games and practice sessions)?
From the new guys? Mmmm. Possibly with Richard, because he's the guy I'm playing the most with. We need to know each other more with McDyess and Blair.

sir_arles
Do you have any hunch about who is going to be the MVP this season? How about Nash?
Nash and Nowitzky had tremendous starts. Lebron and Kobe are going to end up being part of the conversation too. If Denver finishes up top, Carmelo probably will have a chance too. I hope I'm not forgetting anybody.
Let me ask you for advice: If you're a big man, more or less tall and you're playing against a bigger guy than you… What do you think would be the best strategy so he doesn't outplays you? (I'm tired of getting blocked, jaja!). Translated to the NBA the question would be… How do you face Yao being an average big in the league?
Ask Scola! There you have the manual with all the secrets! I know very little about interior play.

tymi-spurs
How is your health?
I was doing very well, today very bad. I had a strained groin against Dallas and it bothers me enough.
Do you think the real potential Jefferson offers will be developing as the season goes on?
Yes, I think so. I hope he improves with every game, if he's the MVP even better! The more he improves, the better chances we're going to have.
Your last few games, discarding the bad night against Oklahoma, were great. Are you going for more, or are you "scared" about your health?
Except against Toronto, I don't think I played that great yet. I think I can play much better.
At this stage when the record is 4-5, do you feel that the team, coaches and managers are optimist about title aspirations?
I don't know what others thinks, but it's patently clear that we need to improve A LOT because we're not going to get far playing like this. The good news is that this is just getting started and we have plenty of time.

TRU
If all the Spurs are healthy (TD, TP, MG, RJ, etc) and supposing that the defense will get to the same level that regularly has been for the past few seasons. What chances do you think this team has of winning a series without home court advantage against a well oiled Lakers team that's also healthy?
The playoffs are different. Home court is relative. If we're ok and play the way we're supposed to play, we have chances. No doubt.

WALY
One question and now that she's pregnant: When are we going to do a Q & A with Many?
Jeje! It didn't even cross my mind. Maybe we'll do it, but with a filter! Je Je. I'll pass on the questions I want! What do you think? ;-)
You're going to have to pass a filter both on the questions and the answers.
That's funny!! I answered above without seeing this comment… you guys have been in the forum for years, I can see you know me! ;-)

andreaz
I imagine that the arrival of a kid makes you re-think a few things, where to raise them, housing, etc. Where would you like your kids to be raised if you could choose? In Argentina (Bahia Blanca) or United States?
I always thought Bahia Blanca because all my family and friends are there and is also close to Many's family, but I really don't know where I'm going to be.
How did you guys gave the news to the new grandpas?
Mine through Skype. I shoed them the ultrasound. Many over the phone.
Both last season and this season I noticed that when Tim and Tony play, specially Tony, there are some players that don't play as well as when they're not there. Last year it was Hill and mason, and this year happened the same thing with Jefferson in the game where Tim and Tony returned from injuries. Is there any reason why they don't play as well when they have to share the court with Tim and Tony? Did Pop talk about it? Did somebody notice? What's your opinion?
When the best players are out, the rest knows they have to step up their games to have a chance. When the best players come back, the rest kind of relax a bit, and they also get less contact with the ball. It's normal. The coach puts the ball in the hands of his best players more often.

Francisco
Is there a difference between the US English and the British English languages? How hard was to learn the language?
Yes, they're fairly different. It's a matter of getting used to it. The language wasn't that hard for me because I spoke fairly well when I got here.
You said that you went to English class and you know the language more or less. Once you knew the language… was it hard to interact with the american people considering how difficult that language is and the slang that I'm sure exists there too?
No, not at all. I never spoke "British" English because I always practiced by speaking to the american players in my teams, so I was used to it.
If you had to pick a country to spend the rest of your life, honestly, if you didn't have to take into account the people you know, friends, etc. I mean, taking into account the quality of life and the population wellbeing, United States or Argentina?
Quality of life is better here. It's no mystery. It's just that there are a lot of things to evaluate before selecting a definitive place.
Who is the player you hate the most on the court because he likes to brag? What player would you prefer to be on your team instead of having to play against him?
I can't answer either question. It's not appropriate. Don't get me wrong… I could answer them, but I shouldn't!
With the typical English education you receive in schools (in Argentina), is it enough to interact and speak with the Americans?
Do you watch the NFL? If you do, what team do you root for?
What do you think about Chapu? Because a few weeks ago he got arrested for driving drunk, and I want to know if it's because he's playing in Sacramento.
Now you made too many questions. It's somebody else's turn.

akd_seba
What's your objective this regular season? Try to finish in the top 4 to have home court advantage in the first game, dodge the Lakers and stay fresh? Try to win the conference and have home court advantage the entire playoffs? Or just try to make the playoffs regardless of the position?
Be number one and be the best team in the NBA. If we can manage that, try to be as high up as possible, but playing well and getting ready for the playoffs.
Individually speaking. What's the goal for you this season? Average a certain amount of points? Average a certain amount of minutes? Or just merely try to get rested to the playoffs?
My goal is to be a champion and feel good and useful for the team. I don't care how many points I score, that's relative.
The father normally prefers that baby to be a boy, even more so when it's the first one. Do you prefer the twins to be boys? Girls? One and one so everybody is happy? Or boy and girl don't really matter?
I have no preference at all. I have a lot of friends with daughters and they say they wouldn't have it any other way. 1 and 1 would be ideal, but honestly… there's no preference.

didemes
Manu, about the last few games and the performance of the team… it's not really a question directly for you. Please CC to Pop:
Seeing that TP and TD are the reference players of the first unit, together with RJ and two more (Bogans and Rattlif, or Finley and Bonner, etc) and you coming from the bench with Hill. Wouldn't it be a good idea to bring RJ with you guys in the second unit? We saw a really good cohesion amongst you three guys, fastbreaks, assists, penetration, scoring, all 3 players!!! And if Blair also comes in to get rebounds and finish second chance points we would be set.
Go to the forum www.greggpopovich.com and let him know! ;-)

Romy_013
As a fan of U2 I'd like to know: What's your favorite U2 song? What was the moment that you thought was best or surprised you the most in the show that you attended recently?
Tough question! One, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Where the streets have no name, are the first few songs that came to mind. But I'm not sure they're the one I like the most.

patulo
In your opinion. Who is the best basketball player from Tucuman of all time and why?
Lucas Victoriano, because he's the one I know the most, he played in Real Madrid, 2nd place in the Worlds, etc etc etc.

manualvaredo
Does Fabricio pays you to be on his radio show on every show?
No, we still haven't agreed on a fee! Je Je. I missed the last show, and we'll see if we can share the next one, but we have to make Chapu, Carlitos or Luifa talk as soon as possible.
What was that of swatting the bat? Were you thinking about it or it was just a reaction?
I thought I could catch him… Since nobody else seemed to want to do it and I did, I tried and got him. I just didn't expect what came afterwards.

Baru
I always used to ask you in this sessions "When are you going to be a dad?" or things like that… now I ask you: When are you going to write a book? Have you started? Do you plan on doing it?
Maybe someday I'll decide to do it. But I don't think it's going to be before I retire, so I hope that's a long time from now. We'll see if I feel like it or not and if I have some stories to tell or not! ;-)
When you opened your Facebook page, did you imagine the popularity it would have and the publicity? What surprised you the most? (Note: you have over 100,000 fans there)
I didn't think that whatever I said would make the newspapers, but I did imagine over 100,000 fans because there's a lot of other NBA players that have quite more than that. So I thought that given time I would surpass that number. Like I was saying, I was surprised that things I put there, like pictures and comments were picked up by a lot of newspapers, even from other countries.
You've spent a lot of months in Argentina this year, unlike in seasons past. What little things made you melancholic and make you remember moments from your infancy/adolescence? (For example, go by a street that you always used to, see a picture or medal…)
Honestly, even though I spent more time, I really didn't do anything that I don't normally do when I go for less time. I did the same thing, but spaced better, with more tranquility, etc. Going to Bahiense and Monte Hermoso are the things that get me closed to my infancy.

About you guys… Do you think you can compete with the Lakers once the new guys mesh in?
We think so, but we have to improve A WHOLE LOT and quickly to do it.

Hard to mesh when they have had all of 3 games in which all the key players have had a chance to play together.

If the injuries can stop interfering...I think this team has as good of a shot as the Lakers making it to the finals.

I posted this in another thread but...

Manu needs to try that placenta therapy that Robbie Van Persie took after getting hurt last week.... Supposedly it cuts one's recovery time substantially...

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g138/hegamboa/VanPersie.jpg

Someone needs to suggest this potential treatment to Manu on his facebook page....

If I had to guess I'd say probably Jason Terry; I remember one game where Terry fouled Manu hard while he was vulnerable in mid-air, and then a few seconds later pretended to be a good sport (for the cameras) by offering his hand. Manu said something to the effect of 'get away from me.' I don't know that he 'brags' that much, but his stupid 'jet' thing is annoying and he always seems very impressed with himself.

Other than him I don't know, but it would be interesting to find out (maybe Manu will put it in his book).

What do you think about what you are doing Jennings, the rookie of the Bucks?
Impressive. Still did not see him live, but surprised everyone. We'll see if he can maintain this level.
Do you think what Brandon did, to go to Europe as a prelude to the NBA without going to a university, will become a common practice in the players coming out of American high schools?
Do not think it will be commonplace, but that can take a couple more times, possibly.

fer21
What is the reason that San Antonio still can not be solid in defense, which had always effective? Could it be the arrival of many new players and still struggles to take hold in the Spurs' defensive system?
I do not think that's why, last year also defended well. The fault lies with everyone, especially the more they play, they are those who, after all, are on the court.

cherny2004
Have you ever crossed his mind the desire to hang the towel and focus on enjoying what you've earned with your family and friends, not so many commitments?
No. I love what I do. Sometimes I heat up, injury frustrates me a lot, but is still more good than bad.

Timcho_15
In a note that the magazine did to Argentina Basketball Plus, you said you break the eggs that many now consider you as a fragile for your injuries ... Besides what other things do you break the eggs?
Quite! Je je. Wait for the book! ;-)
How did the performance of Fabricio Oberto now is having more playing and facing it as you see it?
Going to be strange playing against him. I do not since the 2000 Euroleague final! So imagine! I see very well, it will be very helpful in that team, no doubt.

mdemian23
Are you going to renew with the Spurs? Is it in your intentions?
Yes, it is my intention, but it should be theirs! Je je. When the time comes we'll see if I stay or if I grab the bags and equipment change.

Fernando
Who thought that might be the surprise team of the season? Do you think Phoenix?
A Phoenix many will discount this year, but he's playing barbarian. Atlanta is also very strong in the East.
With respect to you ... Do you think it can give the Lakers struggle once they are adapted new?
We think so, but we have greatly improved and faster to achieve.

kevin20
Do you feel like going to the World Cup next year?
Now they both the World Cup. The desire will no doubt be, the subject is another ...

Velarde
Would you like to play for Lakers?
If not in San Antonio would like to play on any computer that has a chance to become champion and the Lakers are always candidates.

guilleDr
How do you see carrying the 2?
Uhhh! No idea! I still can not imagine. Missing 6 months, so I have time to come.
Already have names in dance?
Yes, but not tell until the time comes! ;-)
Did you talk something with Jefferson the 2003 final? "He touched the subject of theft as he did in Game 6? (his face was like he wanted to kill you haha)
Not at all. It left the issue.

santi2006
How do you go with Lost? Did you get a fifth season or you stay in the fourth?
I finished 5th and am waiting to the last. We'll see who end up "drawing".
Do you have any series to recommend?
Nothing new. I see House, Monk, Chuck and pulled with flash-forward but I grabbed both.

MMP
Were you able to see the secret of his eyes? What did you think? If you did not see you I recommend you see it urgent. It is good in every way, opens your mind.
The truth is not. I wanted to go see her, but finally I came here and did not. I really like Darin (in what he does), so it can not see it.

Didem
How can it be that with fewer players and lack of 2 pillars play so well, and on their return the team go back? I know it is a party, but lets that feeling ...
We are not yet ready and we did not play very well when we all are.
Speaking of that, that well they are seen to RJ Hill and when you are together on the floor, it seems as if he knew where I would seek out and each one is in second season and one in the first, is striking the connection: "It just gives? Or is the practice in training?
Depends on the game you see. If you see us against Utah and Portland really thought: "What bad play together these 3, please." We are trying to know, sometimes succeeds, sometimes more or less. Regularity will come and consolidation.

claudio987
Did you pass by the photo session of the forum? Leave a review.
I looked there. Some are tremendous! Great! I have a couple that can get to class, when I have time, posteo. Thanks for the tip, I had passed.
What did you think Windows 7?
I'm still testing and getting used. It has a couple of "chicha" very cute and practical. All right for now.
If your brothers were the godfathers of the babies What do you think the "malcriaría" more?
Leandro Possibly, but it's hard to say. They are good both with their godchildren.

jalberto
What it certainly did well your old in your upbringing and education that would repeat as a parent?
The really do not know! They were strict, but I never raised their hands. We were the 3 quite docile and obedient. When the time is near and I will sit the relevant questions! ;-)

Ivan
I guess you get along with the new team, with whom do you have a higher affinity / better treatment / chemistry on the court (both parties as in the training)?
Of the new? Mmmm. Possibly with Richard, is with me most is playing to play. With McDyess and Blair we need to know more.

sir_arles
Do you have a hunch about who will be the MVP this season? What do you think of Nash?
Nash and tore Nowitzky tremendous. Lebron and Kobe are going to end up lighting too. If it ends up Denver, Carmelo may have chances too. I hope not to forget anyone.
I ask some advice: If you are an inmate or so high, but not too fast and you face a big guy that you type more ... What would be the best strategy for you so you do not paint the face in a game? (I'm tired of tapas put me, haha!). Translated into the NBA, the question is ... How to cope with Yao for example being an intern average NBA?
Ask to Scola! There you have the manual with all the secrets! I know very little inmates.

tymi-spurs
How is your health?
It came very well, pretty bad today. I had a strained groin against Dallas and it pisses me off enough.
Do you think the true potential of Jefferson leaves unfolding as the season passes?
Yes, I do. Hopefully that will improve game by game, whether it is the better MVP! The better, the more chances we have.
Your recent games without the black night against Oklahoma were cool you going for more or feel any "fear" for your health?
Except in Toronto, I have not played great yet. I think I can play much better.
4-5 At this stage an air Is optimistic title aspiration on the part of the whole team, coaches and manager of the Spurs?
Breathing air do not know what else, but clearly it must drastically improve because it will not get very far. The good thing is that it just starts and we have plenty of time.

TRU
While all healthy Spurs (TD, TP, MG, RJ and company) and if the defense is going to get what they regularly fail to season after season. What you see opportunities to win a series without home-court advantage to a Lakers oiled and with all-star 'on health "?
The playoffs are another thing. The location is relative. If we play as well and should play, the chances are. Without doubt.

WALY
Just one question, and now she is pregnant: When does a Q & A Many?
Jeje! I had not ever happened. That way we do them, but with filter, eh! Je je. Step which I want! You think? ;-)
Total first they are going to have to pass the filtering both the questions and answers.
What a coincidence! I answered the above without having seen your comment ... for years that are in the forum, is that you know me! ;-)

andreaz
I imagine that the arrival of a son makes you rethink some things, instead of breeding, housing, etc.. Where would you like your children are kept if you had the opportunity to elect? In Argentina (Bahia Blanca) or the United States?
Bahia Blanca I always thought because I have all my family and friends and also to the family of Many fits within all close, but really do not know where I will be.
How they gave the news to the grandparents?
I to mine for Skype. I showed them the echo. Many phone to theirs.
Both last season like this I noticed that when playing Tim and Tony, especially Tony, there are some players who do not perform as if they are not last year were Bill and Mason and this year was the same with Jefferson in the return match Tim and Tony after their respective injuries. Is there any reason for non-performing in the same way some players when they have to share the field with Tim or Parker? "Pop talked about this? Has anyone noticed? What is your opinion?
When the best are not, the rest knows he must produce more to take chances, when they return, just relax and play it a little less. It is normal, the best players are the coach decides to take over the ball in his hands.

Francisco
Is there much difference between U.S. English to British English? How much was learning you language?
Yes, there's quite a difference. It is a matter of habit. It cost me much because I speak the language well enough.
You said Manu, who went to English and more or less already know about language. Once you learn ... Was it hard to relate to Americans because of the difficulty that speaking the language, in addition to the jargon that probably there?
Not at all. I never spoke English "British" because Americans always practiced with my computers, so I was accustomed.
If you had to choose a country where they spend the rest of your life, honestly, regardless of acquaintances, friends, that is, taking into account the quality of life and welfare of the population, "the United States or Argentina?
The quality of life is better here, is no mystery. Only there are many things one has to evaluate when choosing a final location.
What is the most hate player on the court, whether it is enlarged? What is the player who would prefer it on your computer before you face him?
Neither of you can answer. It is not good. Let's see ... I can answer you calmly, but it should!
With English typically occur in schools, is enough for you to relate orally with the Americans?
Do you see NFL?, Should see him, "What team are you?
You see the Chapu wrong? For a few weeks ago he was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and I want to know if it's the wrong time is happening in Sacramento
It made me too many questions. Now it's up to another.

akd_seba
What is your goal in this season? Try to finish the season in the top 4 to have homecourt in the first game and avoid the Lakers and arrive fresh? "Gamble to finish first and win the conference home-court advantage in the rest of the playoffs? Or classified as not target a specific position?
Out best and be the best team in the NBA. If you can, go as high as possible, but playing well and being ready for the playoffs.
Individually your goal for this season What is it? Being in a certain grade point average? Is playing a certain average number of minutes? Or just try to get as rested as possible to the playoffs?
Exit champion and feel good and useful for the team. No matter how many points, is relative.
The father wants his son preference is a male, especially when the first, did you want them to be men mellis? "Babes? Does one and one for leave under all? Or whether men or women this right?
I have no preference. I have lots of friends with daughters and say they do not change a thing. 1 and 1 would be ideal, but the truth ... there are no preferences.

Didem
Manu, referring to recent games and yields seen ... not a direct question to you it, send DC to Pop:
Given that TP and TD are the reference of the first unit, along with RJ and others 2 (Bogans and Rattlif, or Finley and Bonner, etc), and you coming from the bench with Hill Would not it be good idea to come with you RJ on the second computer? What we saw is a barbarous complementation between you three, counter, assists, insights, gol, the 3! And if the accompanying rebounds and Blair to take chances we define 2das full board.
Get in the forum www.greggpopovich.com and should ask! ;-)

What gave you the slap for throwing the bat? Have you wanted or was a reflex action?
I thought I could grab ... as no one dared and I do, and I tried. What I expected was what happened next!

Always in this section someone asked "When are you going to be a daddy?" or things like that ... and now I ask you: Why are you going to write a book? Already started? Have you got the idea to do this?
For me there one day and decide to do so. But I think it will be before I retire, so hopefully a long way. We'll see if I feel like or not and if I have something to tell or not! ;-)
When you opened your Facebook, can you imagine the impact it would have journalism and rebound? What would you most surprised you? (Pd: already spent 100 thousand fans)
Little did I know that what I was going to say much in the newspapers, but I imagine +100 thousand fans because there are many NBA players have a lot more. So I thought it would happen with time that number. As I say, I was surprised that I put things like photos and comments were raised by piles of newspapers and even other countries.
I think more than ever in several years spent several months in Argentina, what do small things gave you melancholy and remembering moments from your childhood / adolescence? (For example, pass a block that always did see a picture or medal ...)
Despite the fact that I spent quite some time, I did almost nothing to do when I am not little. I did the same but more space, more calmly, and so on. Go to Bahiense and Monte Hermoso are the things I come to my childhood.
