Unfortunately, it has been my experience that the majority of men are as faithful as their options.
The decision not to be a cheater has to come long before you ever get yourself into a situation where it is a possibility. You have to make life choices not to do certain things and not to go certain places. You know if you are on the road, you have the choice to order room service and to watch a movie in your room, or to go out to the fashionable restaurant and hot club. Choosing the latter puts you at a much greater risk to cheat. I know an NBA player (no, not Rasho) who simply will not go out with his teammates to a club after a game. Some of them give him a hard time, but he has made that choice. If at home, he and his wife go to dinner or he goes home; if on the road, he goes back to his hotel room. I have a rule-- I will never do anything with a married man just the 2 of us- no matter what-- not even meet for lunch or grab lunch with a co-worker. It is a choice not to even be put in that situation.

If you have so little respect for marriage, then do the world a favor and never get married. And if you are married, I pity your spouse.
Just saw your post where you said you're not married. GOOD -
Why is that inherently good?
Why would tlong, or anyone else who has commitment issues, avoiding marriage be doing the world a favor?
Why wouldn't it be possible to find a significant other with the same views on marriage/commitment and make a non-traditional arrangement work with that person?
Fidelity is a complex moral choice that should be discussed and agreed upon by the people within a specific relationship, not a law. I personally know several happy marriages in which one or both partners openly and honestly has sexual relationships with other people.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of cheating. Or of ducking and dodging around whatever definition of fidelity a couple chooses. Dishonesty, in general, and wasting someone else's time in that way is hugely problematic for me. But the vehemence and vitriol within your responses is more than a tad ridiculous.

Well, you know what they say about women after they give birth, especially to multiple babies. They just don't look as good as they did before then. Maybe Tiger just isn't attracted to Elin anymore. This picture does show she's changed quite a bit, but she probably is still a pretty hot clubber. Just the right touch with her make-up does make for a great iiluzion of being hot.

Because he's a normal person who assumed he would cheat on a wife who was into a traditional arrangement.

Poor Elin. She's taking things so hard. I don't know how she'll get through this terrible time. At least she's not a gold digger and not concerned about money...
Link: Elin re-negotiating pre-nup (http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/blog/devil_ball_golf/post/Details-of-Elin-Woods-newly-rewritten-prenup-em?urn=golf,206529)
Details of Elin Woods' newly-rewritten prenup emerge
Elin and Tiger Woods had a prenuptual agreement, as expected. The couple is undergoing marital counseling, as you'd also expect. And now The Daily Beast is reporting that Elin Woods is renegotiating that prenup to get an immediate $5 million payout from her husband and as much as $55 million more to stay with him for two more years.
The initial prenup was worth $20 million after 10 years of marriage. However, the Chicago Sun-Times' Bill Zwecker has reported that Elin Woods will receive an immediate payment "into an account she alone controls," and that the 10-year timeframe -- which began when they married in 2004 -- has been shortened and the value increased "substantially."
The Daily Beast quotes "a lawyer familiar with the couple's negotiations" in reporting that the term of the prenup has been shortened to seven years, and that a series of staggered payments could increase the total value to $75 million.
But apparently there's also a behavioral component to all this: Elin Woods must "be a dutiful wife in showing up with him at social events and in public as if they were still the perfect couple, and sign a nondisclosure form that will prevent her from ever telling her story."
It's important to note that to date, there's no concrete evidence that Elin Woods has ever been anything but the perfectly dutiful golf wife. I'm sure the Woodses would like nothing more than to portray domestic calm to the world, and Elin Woods now apparently has several million more reasons to do just that.

I kind of look at it differently. 1 or 2, he probably actually has serious feelings. This many, it's clearly obvious he's a sex addict and it's not about emotional need for companionship. Neither is good for the wife, but depending on the woman, 1 or 2 mistresses could have been worse if she looks at it that way.

Speculation is that the woman that went to the hospital (and was later released) was Elin's mother.
Reports are that Tiger was on Ambien & Vicodin that night.
Tiger Woods was admitted to Health Central Hospital the day after Thanksgiving as an overdose.
Sources connected with the hospital tell TMZ the admissions chart lists "OD" and that he was having trouble breathing.
We're told the fifth floor of the hospital was put on lockdown when Tiger arrived. Tiger was admitted under an alias -- William Smith. His wife, Elin Nordegren was by his side.
As we first reported, Elin gave paramedics two pill bottles at the accident scene -- we now know the prescriptions were for Ambien and Vicodin. Tiger was in and out of consciousness, snoring at the scene, and our sources say he clearly appeared to be under the influence of something -- not alcohol.
We're also told doctors used a breathing tube to assist his respiration.
We're also told hospital officials changed Tiger's alias after a few hours to another alias because they feared people would find out he was there.

You assume Tiger's father didn't have the same penchant for womanizing. Tiger's an only child from that marriage and pretty much has said his dad was his best friend, the main role model for Tiger. Don't you think Tiger was doing this kind of stuff when his dad was still alive? Don't you think his dad knew about at least some of it? I'm betting Tiger's dad had similar traits as a womanizer. His dad would likely be mad about the stories, but more so that it got out or Tiger's inability to keep these kinds of things under wraps, rather than the actual behavior.

Marketers Pull All Tiger Woods Ads From Prime-Time Television
By Brett Pulley
Dec. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Marketers have pulled all Tiger Woods advertisements from prime-time television broadcast networks and 19 cable channels following reported extramarital affairs, according to data from Nielsen Co.
The last prime-time ad featuring the 33-year-old golfer was a 30-second Gillette Co. spot that ran on Nov. 29, according to New York-based Nielsen. Woods was also absent from commercials on a number of weekend sports programs, including NFL games, Nielsen said.
“Last weekend there wasn’t any advertisement during those games,” said Aaron Lewis, a spokesman at Nielsen.

The reason the story hasn't gone away is because Tiger has pretty much stayed mum on the subject. If he'd come out two weeks ago and admitted that he was a "sex addict" or whatever, and that there were several affairs - then the floozies wouldn't have a story to tell.
And we still don't know if all these women are telling the truth, or if they're just trying to cash in while the Tiger bank is open.

Gatorade hasn't dropped him.
Yes they have - but they said the decision was made before the scandal broke.
UPDATE: A representative for Gatorade has confirmed that the company has dropped Tiger Woods' drink but says its "partnership" with the golfer will continue. The rep told RadarOnline.com: "Our partnership with Tiger does continue. Tiger and his family have our support as he works through his private matter."
Gatorade has dropped Tiger Woods' sports drink.
It’s the first major endorsement loss for the golfer in the wake of his cheating scandal and bizarre one-car crash.
Gatorade released a statement Tuesday saying the move to discontinue its “Tiger Focus” drink had nothing to do with the golfer’s growing scandal and that the decision was made before Tiger’s car crash and allegations of extra marital affairs.
In a statement to CNBC, Gatorade officials said: “We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010. We hope to share more about our 2010 plans soon.”

Sounds to me like Tiger took Ambien to help him sleep. Then, he got awakened by his very mad wife and ended up running out and trying to drive away while on this medication. It was, after all, 2:30 AM or so. It would explain why he seemed semi-conscious, as opposed to his wife beating him semi-conscious.
As for the women, you can bet some of these women thought they were the only one. They kept quiet for so long. Now, others have been made public, and they are all coming out of the woodwork--some for their chance for 15 minutes of fame and others to get their "revenge" on Tiger.

They are dropping the drink named after Tiger, not cutting ties with him, and that decision as made before this mess unfolded.
Critics might say that Gatorade is just reacting to the recent news, but industry trade Beverage Digest actually reported the discontinuation of the Gatorade Tiger Focus line on Nov. 25, two days before the accident occurred.
They still plan to work with the guy and have been firm with that position.
Repeatedly.

No the reason it hasn't gone away is because most people out there are obsessed with people they will never meet. Its Jon and fucking Kate all over again but at least Tiger has done something to be a celebrity other than have a shit load of kids.
The nation gets its collective jollies off to this kind of shit. I don't understand why, but it does. Its so fucking stupid to sit there and say "if he'd only admit it" as if he actually owes the rest of you waiting for the next bit of info anything. That is some bullshit people spew to make it seem as though their obsession with the marriage of some guy they'll never meet and surely never know is actually OK.

The point is these rich celebrities need to learn the importance of choosing the right mistress…If Tiger was seeing a 40 year old woman who just wanted to get out of the house now & then & have a spinach salad & a couple of mimosa’s none of this would be in the news…

They dropped the drink named after Tiger, but they didn't they didn't end their contract with him. That drink tasted like shit anyway.

Well then, I guess it's a vicious cycle because does anybody think Tiger would get all those endorsements if the companies didn't think he'd help them sell their products? It's because of all the fans of people like Tiger, Kobe, Michael Jordan, and LeBron that these companies are willing to shell out the big bucks for endorsements.
And - these celebrities want people interested in their private lives. Otherwise they wouldn't be celebrities. When they stop taking pictures and the fans stop caring - then you're nobody.

They get endorsements because they are professional athletes and all the fans like watching them play sports. The fact that people give a shit about who they're fucking or that banging Tiger Woods is, apparently, a valid career path is part of and obsession wholly removed from the reason they're commercially successful. If we never knew anything about Tiger Woods other than the fact he's a good golfer, he'd be just as sought after for endorsements as he ever was.
And - these celebrities want people interested in their private lives. Otherwise they wouldn't be celebrities. When they stop taking pictures and the fans stop caring - then you're nobody.
Bullshit. I don't doubt that there are plenty of celebrities who are attention whores and like the invasive publicity, but it's ridiculous to suggest that they all want it. That the craft/sport they've chosen to pursue happens to mean they operate within the public eye is a far cry from the suggestion that they all, universally, chose to pursue that craft/sport because, deep down, they wanted to someday publicly tell the story of that one time they got beaten by a golf club.

Possible Tiger Sex-Tape? Nude Photos? ......no thanks.
Tiger Gets Order Blocking Nude Photos, Videos
Tiger Woods' British lawyers have obtained a court order from the High Court in London, prohibiting British publications from publishing any nude photos and videos of Tiger Woods ... and TMZ has obtained copies of the documents.
Tiger Woods' lawyers sent a letter to multiple UK papers and blogs, stating the court order "prevents the publication of private and confidential information contained in the Order.... this Order is not to be taken as any admission that any such photographs exist, and in the event they do exist they may have been fabricated, altered, manipulated and/or changed to create the false appearance and impression that they are nude photographs of our client."
The court order also covers any possible videos. It blocks the publication of "any photographs, footage or images taken or obtained of the claimant [Tiger] naked or any naked parts of the claimant's [Tiger's] body or of him involved in any sexual activity."
The lawyer's letter says, "Our client is not aware of any images and in any event he would not have consented to any such photographs being taken nor would he have consented to the dissemination or exploitation of the same."

Lost in the Woods
Every day seems to bring more grief for Tiger Woods. In the past weekend, Accenture (Stock Quote: ACN) became the first sponsor to end its relationship with the golf star, reasoning that Woods was “no longer the right representative.” Meanwhile, Gillette announced that it would stop airing advertisements featuring Woods for an indefinite period of time. According to one estimate, Woods could lose close to $200 million in endorsements and tournament money if he takes the next year off from golf.
And these companies are not the only ones weary of the tarnished golfer. One recent survey from Argyle Executive Forum found that more than three quarters of marketers would “cancel, reduce or suspend” doing business with Woods if they were using him for endorsements.
Still, there are some companies that might be able to capitalize on Tiger Woods’ new image, and turn a bad situation into a great marketing opportunity. So, Tiger, if you’re reading this, here are 10 companies that could serve as your new sponsors. I’d wait by the phone ... I’m sure they’ll be calling.
My Favorite of the Ten:
Sorry! (The Board Game)
Sure he’s apologized already, but if you think Tiger is done saying he’s sorry, you are mistaken. Every time that guy walks into his house from now until the day he dies, he’s going to look at his wife with sad, pathetic eyes, and say, “Sorry.” For the foreseeable future he’ll also be apologizing to his friends, family and everyone associated with the game of golf. Since he’s going to be saying the word so frequently, he might as well get paid for it.

Wife to divorce Woods
Elin Nordegren, the wife of Tiger Woods, will seek a divorce, ABC News.com is reporting.
A source close to Nordegren told the Web site on Wednesday that a "divorce is 100 percent on."
Nordegren was recently photographed pumping gas without her wedding ring.
Woods and his wife have been married for five years and have a 2-year-old daughter and a 10-month-old son.
Woods announced late last week he was taking an indefinite leave from public life and golf while he works to fix his marriage after multiple allegations of infidelity.
The announcement came two weeks after Woods crashed his SUV into a tree outside his Florida home, setting in motion a stunning downfall for the world's No. 1 player who for 13 years rarely made news off the golf course. One woman who said she had a 31-month affair with Woods shared a voice mail that she said Woods left her two nights before his Nov. 27 accident.
"I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children," Woods said in a statement released last week. "I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try."
Woods has not been seen in public since the accident.http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/news/story?id=4750352

Twas the night of Thanksgiving and out of the house
Tiger Woods came a flyin', chased by his spouse.
She wielded a nine iron and wasn't too merry,
Cause a bimbo’s phone number was in his Blackberry.
He’d been cheatin' on Elin, and the story progressed.
Woman afterwoman stepped up and confessed.
He’d been cheatin’ with Holly, and Jaimee, and Cori,
WithJoselyn, and Kalika. The world had the story.
From the top of the Tour to the basement of blues,
Tiger’s sad sordid tale was all over the news.
With hostesses, waitresses, he had lots of sex,
When not in their pants, he was sendin' them texts.
Despite all his cryin’ and beggin' and pleadin',
Tiger’s wife went investin' -- a new home in Sweden.
And I heard her exclaim from her white Escalade,
"If you’re gettin' laid then I’m gettin' paid."
She’s not pouting, in fact, she is of jolly good cheer,
Her prenup made Christmas come early this year.

Elin to seek divorce, up to $500 million (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/elin_plays_3Qs02YIaK71Ia300J4Xu0H)
Tiger Woods' furious wife has tapped a top divorce lawyer and is planning to take the golf great for as much as half his billion-dollar fortune for repeatedly cheating on her with a bevy of birdies throughout their five-year marriage, it was reported yesterday.
"She plans to leave Tiger," a source close to Elin Nordegren told People magazine. "She's made up her mind. There's nothing to think about -- he's never going to change."
The stunning Swedish beauty is believed to have contacted veteran Los Angeles celebrity attorney Sorrell Trope -- who has represented Nicole Kidman, Britney Spears and Cary Grant -- to renegotiate the terms of a prenuptial agreement and end the marriage, according the several other reports.
Nordegren, 29, is eyeing filing for divorce in California where the couple has a home because the Golden State's no-fault divorce laws would make it easier for her to take a larger piece of his assets, it was reported.
But experts say it may not be so easy for her to take advantage of California law. She or Tiger would have to prove either one had spent the previous six months in the state upon filing.
"They've been living in Florida. The fact that they might own a house in California doesn't matter if they're not physically in California," said John Hodson, chairman of the California Bar's family-law section.
Trope did not return calls for comment.
The move comes a day after The Post reported Nordegren was about to move out of the couple's Florida home with their two kids and was seen directing a moving crew to cart out items.
And days earlier, Nordegren had been spotted pumping gas while not wearing her wedding band and engagement ring in a clear sign a breakup was imminent.
"She knew what she was doing when she stepped out and pumped gas without her wedding rings," a source close to her told MSNBC.
"She and Tiger are living separately now, but she'll be making this split very open and official right after Christmas."
"She's a strong woman, this is beyond embarrassing, and she has a daughter and son she has to think about, who will know about this one day," the source said. "Forgiveness isn't exactly around the corner."
Meanwhile, Woods' high school sweetheart, Dina Parr, told E! News that it came as no surprise to her that Woods would have a wandering eye -- he was just following in the footsteps of his late father, Earl..
"He would just call crying and say, 'My dad is with another woman,' and that was all he could say," Parr said of Tiger when he was a teenage golf phenom. "He was so upset, so I just tried to be there for him and listen to him.
"He loved his father," Parr said. "And I know that was the one thing about his dad that he could never get over. So yeah, it's interesting that it's turned out that he's doing the same thing."
Woods has not been seen since the revelation of his numerous affairs emerged following a bizarre Thanksgiving-weekend car wreck at his home outside Orlando.
Despite the implosion of his marriage, he apparently has been hedging his bets, keeping in touch with at least one of his paramours, Rachel Uchitel. Woods' reported relationship with Uchitel was what set the whole story going -- prompting Nordegren to allegedly attack his SUV with a golf club and more than a dozen other women to come forward. Woods reportedly paid Uchitel millions to keep quiet about the affair.
"Tiger was texting her, trying to find time to get together again. He wasn't even fazed!" one of Uchitel's pals told US Weekly. "Rachel said he told her he was going to leave his wife for her, that he needed to be with her."
Also yesterday, it was reported that Jamie Jungers, one of the many beauties to come forward to say they'd been with Tiger, was a stripper at an upscale Las Vegas club, her old boss told Radar Online.
"She got greedy and she got sloppy and she went out there and talked," said Badda Bing club boss Rick Belcastro. "I could lose good customers with people like that. I'm just glad she left."
Tiger's cougar mistress, Theresa Rogers, 48, was trying to get pregnant by Woods, Radar Online reported last night. When she did, sometime between late 2003 and early 2004, she told a friend that she believed Woods was the father, though she was having an affair at the same time with a Serbian basketball player. There was never a DNA test.
Porn princess Joslyn James, 32, almost got a private palace out of her illicit love affair with Woods, her sister says.
"She told me once that Tiger Woods was going to buy her a house in Las Vegas," said James' sister, Samantha Siwik.
"She had seen him many times," Siwik told Radar Online. "I believe that my sister took advantage of him because I know that she is that kind of person. She only thinks of herself."
Star magazine reported that Woods' wandering eye also extended to the A-list -- coming on to Jessica Simpson when she was still dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
Woods and Simpson carried on a flirtatious weekend, Star cited a pal of Simpson as saying, during the AT&T National Pro-Am golf tournament last July -- where Simpson was singing the national anthem and Romo was Tiger's partner. The source said Simpson never followed through, because "she would never date a married man." Days later, Romo and Simpson split up.

Oh well, now at least Tiger knows where he stands and can just cast her aside and move on. No use in wallowing in pity, life's too short for that. Just dedicate to the golf game to get back to the top and dominate, dedicate to the kids, and bang all the hoes freely that u want. Live it up until you retire from the limelight then look to settle down with just one woman. He's only in his early 30s, 40 to 50 years is way too long to only be with one woman. Wait til you're about 45 to 50 and want/need the companionship of one woman until sailing off into the light.

I thought he did have a pre-nup. I thought Tiger was smarter than he is clearly showing.
I believe he has a pre-nup but I am guessing he would like to buy her silence, as well.
The one thing with which I do not agree is her taking the kids out of the country. She moved here and the kids were born here. She can afford to live where her kids have been so that they can spend time with their father, regardless of his infidelity to the marriage.

Tiger flies all over the world anyway. It's not like he can't pop over to Sweden between golf tournaments to see the kids if she actually moves back there.

The kids should be where the family lived so that regular visitation may be taken by the non-custodial parent. I believe it very firmly.

The oldest is only 2 years old, the other is still a baby. It's not like she would be tearing the kids away from all their friends and social network. These people bounce around the world like we go to the HEB. Tiger just calls Netjet and 5 hours later he is in Sweden. No big deal. It's completely unreasonable to expect her to stay in Florida to make it "convenient" for Tiger to see the kids when her family lives in Sweden.

She needs his permission to uproot the the kids.
My guess? He lets them grow up in Sweden.

Stuff like this happens all the time. She may need a judges permission to move the kids but she damn sure doesn't need Tigers permission. 14 girlfriends and counting? The dude is toast in a custody battle if she decides to go for the balls.

True, but the guy has more pull than the average Joe.
I don't think he'd fight the move because it'd be the ultimate PR death blow for him.

Tiger MIGHT be able to venue shop and get a sympathetic judge but he's gonna be toast with 99% of family court judges.

If the stories are true, her violence against him is as detrimental to the kids as his affairs.

Florida's New Parental Relocation Statute
Under a new Florida law, strict procedures must be followed in relocation cases. Before moving a child's principal residence address more than 50 miles away, a primary residential parent (custodial parent) must either: obtain the written agreement of all parties entitled to visitation with the child; or file and serve a Notice of Intent to Relocate.

I doubt she can't get a custody order that governs children relocation and I doubt even more that a court wouldn't rule in her favour a relocation notice litigation.

Judges get pissy when you pull crap like this - court is in favor of what is best for the child(ren), not what parents think is best.

She does not need to relocate for her job or for any financial well-being reasons. Her only claim is that she wants to move to be around her family, and the question remains: is that more important than the kids being around their father more.

I love how she comes off all squeaky clean. The bitch is violent! She attacked a man with a weapon, she isn't some total victim. Almost everyone has been betrayed by spouses/ significant others in some way but yet we don't attack them with a weapon.
Bitch is crazy.

Dude, this is not Joe Shmoe and Mary Lou where Joe works 8 to 5 at the widget plant and doesn't have time/money to travel to see the kids after the ex-wife moves. Besides, they already own multiple houses in the US and Europe. The house in Florida is just the primary residence. She can settle anywhere she wants and Tiger can just jump on a G4 to pop over and see the kids.

Tiger still has the same rights as any other father, and it's not in the children's best interest for him to be so far away. Then again, it's pretty much up to him as to whether he would want to pursue the matter legally and make an ugly situation even worse.

Between golf tournaments and all his sexcapades, how much time was he really spending at home with Elin and the kids anyway? Elin wants to get as far away from this scandal as possible - and that means leaving Florida. The house she purchased is on an island - that tells you she wants seclusion for her and the kids.

As far as the courts are concerned, he resides where he pays taxes.

The non-custodial parent should be able to attend school plays, piano recitals, teacher conferences, etc... and that is impossible if the mother takes the kids and moves halfway around the world with them. Having dad fly in for a couple of days is in no way like having that parent around.
I also notice you never addressed the issue of her violent behavior in their home. It is my understanding that Child Services paid a visit to the home following her domestic assault on Tiger with a golf club.

Who says tiger has to live in Florida? He can buy the island right next to hers in Sweden if making all the teacher conferences is that important to him.

He has a job that is primarily in the United States. He should not have to quit his job to follow her because she decides to move, especially when she does not work. She should stay where they resided. She is the one who must obtain permission either from him or from the court to move away. That is simply how it works when people get divorced.
Yet again, no response to the detrimental effect of her violent actions against her spouse in their home with the kids there.
