:vomit: Has to be the worst food ever. And the smell of it is just nasty. It looks like catfood.

I saw someone eating it out of the can with a spoon. OMG :lol

I love potted meat. I used to eat it tortillas and sometimes my mom would cook it with potatoes.

I like that it's not even called food. It's a food product.

My alcoholic grandpa used to eat it all the time. He would spread it on crackers. BLECH.

When you are growing up with almost nothing it's the best thing in the world.

I used to eat it all the time in college because I was too poor to afford food AND beer. It never hurt me (if you don't count the fact that I was diagnosed with cancer at age 24).

I actually bought and opened a can a couple of years ago just for the nostalgia of it all. Believe me, dog food would probably be better! Except I think a can of dog food is more expensive. :lol

I used to eat it in sandwiches when I was a kid, so I must have liked it. Having it on tortillas or with taters actually sounds kinda good :tu

Man. Potted meat reminds me of my grandparents and when I was a little kid. We'd always go on road trips pretty much everywhere in Texas. We'd always pull over at a rest stop and have potted meat sandwiches. Very good times. Now I don't know if I'd eat it now, mind you.

When I was little, I won some potted meat at a Phoenix Roadrunners hockey game :lol

I opened it at home and took a small taste, and hated it. So, I did the seemingly logical thing and put it in our dog's bowl. My grandpa came in and started ranting at me about it :lol saying that it was "too good" to give to the dog.

Highly processed "meat" is only the low-hanging fruit of the food industry and meat factories.

Nearly everything from BigFood is total, dead crap, actually food-like substances, of no nutritional value and very often harmful.

I've honestly never heard of potted meat...SPAM would be the closest thing I guess...

Seriously though? Is that a joke? I mean, I'm not disgusted by foods, I've eaten escargot and I'm Mexican so I eat menudo and barbacoa and lengua and all that and it doesn't bother me...but I don't think I'd ever want to try that stuff

It looks absolutely disgusting...

I'm in college now and its Ramen FTW...

Pft, humans are just picky. Animals have no problem eating every last bit. Entrails, bone, skin, diseased or dead. We refuse to eat most of the stuff we kill since we are "cultured". It ends up in cat food cans or in this potted meat stuff.

This food is pretty much all-natural. It smells much better than it looks. Don't stare at it, just mash it up and spoon it onto a cracker or something. Its like how you shouldn't smell cheese.

By the way don't get curious and try to eat dog food or cat food unless you like the taste of raw organs and ground-up bones. At least that potted stuff is actually mostly meat.

"This food is pretty much all-natural"

fucking no. Canned meat is highly processed, stuffed full of preservatives, chemicals, salt, flavor/color enhancers, without even mentioning the shit fed to the animals the meat came from.

Totally incomparable with carnivores eating muscles and organs from wild animals.
