Has to be the worst food ever. And the smell of it is just nasty. It looks like catfood.
I saw someone eating it out of the can with a spoon. OMG![]()
I love potted meat. I used to eat it tortillas and sometimes my mom would cook it with potatoes.
I like that it's not even called food. It's a food product.
My alcoholic grandpa used to eat it all the time. He would spread it on crackers. BLECH.
That sounds even worse.
When you are growing up with almost nothing it's the best thing in the world.
I used to eat it all the time in college because I was too poor to afford food AND beer. It never hurt me (if you don't count the fact that I was diagnosed with cancer at age 24).
I actually bought and opened a can a couple of years ago just for the nostalgia of it all. Believe me, dog food would probably be better! Except I think a can of dog food is more expensive.![]()
I stick with SPAM these days.
I used to eat it in sandwiches when I was a kid, so I must have liked it. Having it on tortillas or with taters actually sounds kinda good![]()
I hear ya. We were poor too.
No dog food and cat food is so freakin expensive. My cats eat better than I do.I actually bought and opened a can a couple of years ago just for the nostalgia of it all. Believe me, dog food would probably be better! Except I think a can of dog food is more expensive.![]()

are you talking about this? WHY? WHY would you eat it? Even if I was starving i
think i would rather die.....
............still has to be better than this for dinner.![]()
It looks better on top of a cracker...in a dark room.
Kind of like most of my ex-girlfriends.
Man. Potted meat reminds me of my grandparents and when I was a little kid. We'd always go on road trips pretty much everywhere in Texas. We'd always pull over at a rest stop and have potted meat sandwiches. Very good times. Now I don't know if I'd eat it now, mind you.
Just wow.
When I was little, I won some potted meat at a Phoenix Roadrunners hockey game
I opened it at home and took a small taste, and hated it. So, I did the seemingly logical thing and put it in our dog's bowl. My grandpa came in and started ranting at me about itsaying that it was "too good" to give to the dog.
That's funny. Sounds like my grandfather.
Is that the same thing as Deviled Ham? Because I used to like deviled ham. Haven't had it in years & years, though.![]()
Didn't Jman3000 eat some spam spread at a GTG once? I know it smelled to high heaven...kind of like catfood.
