Hill has been the real bright spot this game. Why no Mason? Everyone else on this team can suck it. Only the this years Spurs can find a way to sour a big win (if they hang on).
Also, Laker fans, don't fool yourselfs, Lakers were not "in" this game, the Spurs have dominated and just let up and made many mistakes.

I like Duncan covering Gasol a lot better than I like him covering Bynum, and I said that before this game..that's why I want a guy like Brendan Haywood or another big covering Bynum, even though there aren't too many guys in the NBA that can cover Bynum 1 on 1..
Also, thankfully Bynum doesn't play nearly as well when Gasol is in the lineup..

I know basketball is a game of runs and leads expand and shrink, especially against good teams. But it is how it happens. The Spurs got sloppy, lazy and went so damn cold. It was not a good back and forth, it was piss poor play. Spurs had an excellent 2.4 quarters and now are playing well again in the fourth.

Not a good sign that Blair did nothing and could not get on the court. I wonder why RMJ did not see time in the 2nd half? The let down in the 3rd was unreal and really soured this win for me.

Mahinmi was so close, he is at the check in, hopefully he gets minutes tomorrow against a young Thunder team.
But why does Haislip get in but not Mahinmi

Not at all. The passing for San Antonio continues to be lousy. For such a veteran team this has been a problem all year and I have no idea how Popovich let's this happen.

Duncan at 40 minutes tonight. Duncan had a great offensive game. Manu played well overall. TP had some solid defense in the 1st and great play in the 2nd. Hill played so f'ng good.
Not a good sign that Blair did nothing and could not get on the court. I wonder why RMJ did not see time in the 2nd half? The let down in the 3rd was unreal and really soured this win for me.
It'll be interesting to see how Duncan will play tmrw against OKC - we'll probably expect more PT for Blair tmrw and possibly Ian.

Beat me to it. We didn't learn anything at all, and tried to give the game away... glad to win in the end though. At this point, any win against a good team, even a hobbled one, is welcome. :tu

I am not at all happy with this win. Not. At. All. Good bounce back in the fourth, but such disappointing play when they had a chance to build momentum.
Duncan's defense was pretty damn bad, with the exception of a few moments. His offense was simply fantastic though.

We still need another big. We had to play Duncan 40 mins just to stay competitive against Bynum and Odom's size. Gasol tips the size advantage even more in their favor.

what i like about Timmy the most is his defense. holding bynum to 50% in that game was pretty freaking good. andrew has what, 12 years on him? and timmy can still put on those stops. blocks and contests without fouling, grabs down tough rebounds
hey pop, enough of this small ball crap that doesnt even work, PLAY MCDYESS AND RATLIFF!
good win tonight. GO SPURS GO!

Duncan's defense was pretty damn bad, with the exception of a few moments. His offense was simply fantastic though.
Yeah um, I think Duncan was fantastic on both ends in this game. Bynum touched the ball every time down the court. Bynum shot 11/23 which is not great when the furthest shot he took was from about 4 feet out. The Lakers scored only 85 points with Duncan being the only man defending the ring for about 25minutes of the game. Couple that with his defense that actually shows up on the stat sheet (4 blocks, 2 steals) and he was very solid tonight on both ends in my opinion. Fantastic game from Tim Duncan, again.

Should we be happy with this win? I can't tell.
I think we should just because of the energy and the cohesiveness the big 3 showed in this game. The turnovers of passes are very confusing considering the team should be more prepared and well aware of those, but nonetheless a lot of bright spots in the game even with Kobe and Pau out.
I think Kobe and Pau being out is being blown out of proportion a bit. Yeah, it played a lot that Kobe wasn't healthy for the entire game and Pau out. But, Bynum wouldn't have had those many touches had Kobe and Pau been healthy and playing. With the Lakers trio of Kobe,Pau and Bynum all healthy I certainly don't see the Spurs winning against the Lakers by 20, but I could definitely see an upset in a close game.
Other than that, we should all take the win and continue to improve our record against .500 above teams! :king

Sure. Alabama was happy with their fake win handed to them by injury fate. Spurs might as well be too.

It's hard to judge this game since Gasol was out and Kobe was in and out and injured. But he still managed to play 32 minutes.
But you have to be happy with a win. Lots of things need to improve but it would be more humilating if we had lost. The collapse in the 3rd was awful and reminded me of the Dallas game. But the Spurs managed to bounce back and get the win.
