I agree. I know he's there for defensive purposes and all...but his defense isn't like Bowens...so dominant it offsets any offensive deficiencies. I think he's much better in the Lindsey Hunter role, a bulldog you bring off the bench.

He's also why I'd prefer to see the Spurs bring-in a defensive wing instead of a defensive big before the deadline.

Bogans can potentially be better than Bowen offensively, but lately he is passing up good shots and then thowing bad passes. Can't have that.

Bonner is a very effective weapon in the offense. He can spread the floor and draw out the big man.
The Spurs' Defensive scheme is based on rotation and funneling for a help D so Bonner's defensive liability can be covered.
