Feel kinda bad for Jefferson on that one. Yeah, he should drive the ball and not take a tough fadeaway, but there were like 5 people under the basket, and he's going to have to make jump shots let alone big jumpshots, that's just basketball. Some of his shots tonight have been wide open.

He is not taking great shots, but his defense has been decent tonight. I would like to see him give that effort on the boards though. I know it is hard with Duncan/Blair/Dice, but could still try. He does leak out quickly though, so that could explain a lot of it.

Spurs getting lit up defensively, but they have missed a shit ton of good looks. Still in the game, but I would love to see the Spurs amp up the defense in the second half.

Rose is just lacing jump shots. Funny thing is if RJ was taking those same jumpers, Spurs fans would chastise him.

Difference is, hes hitting them. If RJ had made his first one or two, then i would be fine with him taking one or two more to see if they're consistently falling. RJ is 0-4 on jumpers and 1-1 when going to the basket.

Somewhere along the way to winning 4 championships in 9 seasons this coach apparently forgot how to work a rotation. 7 guys for the first, what, 18 minutes? What the fuck is he doing...AGAIN?! Parker's playing too many minutes, the defense is beyond awful, as usual and the offense continues to sputter along. This team is a mess in virtually every area of the game. The only thing improving is the turnovers, but the offense and the rebounding, which were solid all year, are getting worse by the game. This is actually worse than a mess, this is turning into (if it's not already) a disaster.

Jefferson, I haven't constantly been complaining about him like many, but what the fuck is he doing NEVER taking the ball to the hole? Does this guy not realize he was brought in to give them a slasher, a wing who could post up and a finisher in transition? Not another spot up shooter, which they have plenty of.

Blair is playing awful, yet he plays the majority of the half? This is beyond bizarre at this point. I have no idea what to expect with the rotation, so how can the players? Yeah, you can pull the "they're professionals, they need to stay ready" bullshit, but everyone who's watched the NBA for any period of time knows that players play better when they have a defined role and part of that role is knowing when you're going to play and when you're not going to play.

Is it just an inevitable slump or is Duncan wearing down again? He is laboring to score the past few games and is looking slightly less mobile by the game. It's obvious to anyone at this point that if this organization wants to salvage this thing that they better make a trade for another starting caliber big. A wing stopper wouldn't hurt, either.

I completely disagree. He's playing awful. Sure, he's playing with effort and energy, but this is a classic case of stats being deceiving: he can't finish a damn thing around the rim (this is being a recurring trend).

Ginobili, who had quietly become one of the best shooters in the league by '08 has regressed to the point where he's bordering on being an awful shooter.

I'll give Pop this: while I don't like the rotation in the first half (in terms of who/when he subbed), I do like the fact that, for once, the eight best players on the team played the entire half. In a game where they're clearly motivated, rested, at home, playing an average team, only playing their eight best players, they're still struggling mightily? Could their be (other than season ending injuries to the big three) anything more alarming/telling to the front office than this?

What.

Blair is playing fantastic. What are you on about. The may have missed a few but those shots were created by the fact that he got the off. rebound in the first place. Blair is playing as hard as he can.

Who would you rather have out there? What do you want Blair to do? He's short so he can't grab the rebound and dunk it on everyone. Most of his shots were tough misses. You can't expect him to shoot 100%.

I'd like to see Mason start the 2nd half in favor of Hill. Nothing against Hill's play, but this team can't defend to save their lives any way and the Bulls are due to start missing contested long range jumpers, so put the knockdown shooter into a lineup where not one other guy is a knockdown shooter.

While I'm in no way confident in saying this, I've got a hunch that the Spurs blow the Bulls out in the second half. The Spurs are due and there's no way the Bulls continue to make the shots they were making in the first half at anywhere near the same clip in the second half.

Could their be (other than season ending injuries to the big three) anything more alarming/telling to the front office than this?

Another double digit first quarter lead gone in the blink of an eye.

Don't be so hard on the kid. He has continued to improve through out the season and is one of the positive additions to our roster this year. I think hes playing with great effort and I hope he keeps it up.

What did everyone expect, we beat sub 500 teams and the boards went crazy and when someone pointed that out people got offended now the season has gotten even closer to the half way mark and I guess people see nothing they like. Look at what we put on the court. Play some more people that are young. That's what we should have been doing. Ian and Hairston should have been implemented throughoout the season, 10 or 15 minutes early in the season. Finely is done and we had Bonner last year, not happening.

Sure David is on another level, but it's not that hard to show some leadership out there and stand tall. I don't know if Tim, Tony and Manu realize how big it is for their teammates to see then looking all down and out of it on the court.
