I've got a ticket into LP, we'll see what they say. It can't be technical difficulties if it's already scheduled for only half the game.

One more follow up: I've got my provider asking LP what's going on. They have a bigger voice, they pay the NBA for the feed. The guy I dealt with is supposed to call me back with whatever answer he's given. He was straight enough to say he didn't expect much, but at least I know it's been reported as unacceptable to a paying customer. He included the Rockets game too.

Maybe if enough of us squeak it won't happen again.

Mahinmi has to play with more aggression and purpose. There were a couple of plays where he easily could have blocked a shot and instead either stood in to take the charge or didn't even bother challenging the shot. If he's going to be a player in this league, it'll be as a Noah/McGee type center.

Spurs should be blowing this open. Grizzlies don't have a single credible perimeter scorer in the game; in fact, they only have one above average player in the game. Pop is overdoing it with resting Duncan and McDyess. If they'd have come back in for the last five minutes, maybe the Spurs maintain or build on their lead. All he's doing is making it so that they'll have to potentially play extended second half minutes.

This isn't a preseason game and the Grizzlies, even without two of their six best players and with virtually nothing to play for aren't the Timberwolves. It might not be a bad idea to make sure the game is firmly in the Spurs control before treating it like it's preseason.

The rotation needs to be tightened in the second half. I don't care about minutes, they've been managed enough. Win the game you have to win, take your chances tomorrow. Don't get caught trying to have your cake and eat it too and lose both.

It depends on the situation. Generally speaking, I'm fine with it to an extent, but 5:39? Like I said, if he plays 10-11, he still get's plenty of rest and the Spurs are probably still in control of this game. Now, it's up for grabs and he may have to play a 18-20 minute second half, depending on how things go.

If you want to rest players, rest them. Put them in a coat and tie so you're not tempted to play them. If you need to win the game against an inferior opponent and you've got a game the next day ... save for a minute or two here or there, play the regular rotations and you should be able to sit guys in the fourth; give the team the right approach and mindset to go out and put the hammer down.
