SAN ANTONIO--

Further examination of Seattle Sonics guard Ray Allen has determined that it was not an injured ankle as first thought.

Dr. I.M. Abigwuss, a noted South Texas OB-GYN was consulted and made the determination that Allen actually suffered a strained uterus. This apparently happened during the second quarter when Allen tripped over his own feet and turned to complain to the referee so quickly that he pulled a muscle in the uterine wall. When informed of the diagnosis...teammate Jerome James replied..."Uterus? I thought we was in San Antonio?" Doctors say he is day to day.

Classic. Right up there with Jerome's efforts to refute Nate McMillian's charges of selfishness by saying that he wasn't selfish because he was "just worried about Jerome."

that 1st round stats was just a fluke. He just wanted to make a statement vs. Sac who dumped him for this season....
