That's why I could never live over there. Visit, yes but never live.

i love the rain, plants are green and everything appears clean and like the sound when it hits metal roofs.

I moved up here from San Antonio, & once loved the rain. It's definately gotten old this year.

I don't mind the rain here. I mean, it does get annoying once in awhile but, overall, I'm cool with it.

When I lived in Olympia, Wa., it wasn't unusual to go 3 weeks without seeing the sun, except in the summer. But the rain in the NW isn't like rain in Texas where you get real rain coming down in drops or buckets. It's more of a steady spray-like mist and doesn't really stop people from doing everything they need to do.

Here in WA state, there was concern that there wouldn't be enough snowpack. But now looks to be okay. Not sure about in Oregon.

For those of us on the eastern slopes of the cascades, we heavily rely on snowpack for irrigation for all the crops that much of the world consumes. (Apples, pears, cherries, peaches, nectarines, & apricots.)

Oregon's snowpack is okay. The east side of the cascades definitely relies on the snowpack more than the west. The east side is the high desert in Oregon.
